I completely agree except for the Armstrong analogy. Armstrong is a proven and admitted cheater. The proven and admitted cheater is manny, although his guilty and admission have not yet come. They will in the future though.

JMM did it the right way all along.

Actually talking some sense . But in fairness, Juan had everything to gain and nothing to lose fighting Pac and Mayweather. If Juan really had big cojones why didn't he go to 140 and try to clean out the division? Why has he been doing nothing but chasing Pacquiao for the past few years and fighting nobodies in the process? $$$

Pac and Floyd were both cash cows, and they didn't need to fight eachother to make a boatload of money. That's ultimately why that fight didn't happen -- but I place more blame on Floyd simply because Pac looked like he genuinely wanted the fight and he conceded on drug testing and even offered to take less money. He's done everything but bend over for Floyd. Floyd after that first round of negotiation has given nothing but excuses and dodge maneuvers. Floyd simply didn't want the fight. He had no reason to want it. He was already making a ton of money and Pac was a high reward but also a high risk fight. Also Bob Arum and Floyd / GBP don't want or care to work eachtoher, because again, their making plenty of money keeping things in house. Why spread the wealth?

Anyway I dont wanna start another fanboy war, but that's the bottom line the way I see it.

Pretty much what I was going to post after reading the OP.

I'm not sure why Marquez needs to be singled out for praise for fighting both, maybe because he's flavour of the month on here and can do no wrong but he wasn't the first to fight both.

As GT said both Mayweather and Pacquiao were capable of generating 10's of millions by themselves so the motivation for them to fight each other and lose the cash cow status they had built wasn't there, I don't agree with it as a fan but then we are the ones that hand over money for them to be so selective.

Marquez and his situation are completely different, the guy isn't a stand alone PPV draw and won't make any sort of money like he did fighting these two, in fact I would say his motivation for chasing Mayweather was money just as much as legacy.

I love the circle jerk of posters blowing eachother on the fence but in the real world reasons favor one side and not both so I have to troll this thread and say anyone with common sense knows Team Pac is mostly why the fight did not happen and dumb ass casual fans paying for Manny's bull**** fights thinking he was a top 10 ATG. As as soon as the casual fan has left we now have Bob saying he now believes in strictyer testing and in reality other than hype, Manny never had any case for 50/50. People say Floyd is scared but when it comes to money Floyds Greed>Fear 10 times out of 10. The public poo poo'ed Floyd and his side mainly because he's hated and I also feel he didnt get a fair shake in negotiations. Manny has never seen a 20 million dollar pay day in his life. This is just the reality of it. Floyd made the best attempt to make the fight when he called Manny and tried to cut out Bob because in reality Bob offers Manny the same deal basically but with a far less guarantee. All PPV pays Bob, Roach's Hollywood mansion, Ariza to keep his mouth shut and his Aston Martin, Koncs Hollywood mansion, people he owes money too, etc all because Manny is a horrendous business man. Im sorry Im not in the fapping mood with the rest of you but Floyd has always been the more legitimate businessman and fighter and this fact cant be denied any longer. I still havent seen any official numbers for Manny's fights to this day and I'm not impressed with his hyped up resume that looks great on paper but any real boxing fan knows is built up.

I agree word for word & have been saying this for ages now, pair of ****ing disgraces that they are. They will never rank with the true legends of the game because of this & in the long run they will deeply regret ****ing the fans, the sport & yes, themselves over. I have no more words.

While I agree both men have and their teams have done more than enough to kill the fight with their egos not budging and their "entitlement" for the big purse, I have to agree with this post even though it has clearly put the blame on just Manny
