How was Dallas the logical choice when The MGM was offering more money?

    dear god people

listen, dont take offence to this but THEY DONT GIVE A **** ABOUT YOURS, MINE OR ANYONE ELSES FCKING OPINION.

the only thing they care about is $$ or in my case ££. simple, boxing is a business, make as much money as you can. only fickle people cant see this, its all about the money people. if vegas offered more then it would logically go to vegas

If they could like organize it an get togehter enough money, it would be so fun to watch Duckaway-belowbelly-and-sometimes-runaway-Gayweather encounter Manny in the Philippines.
That'd be really fun to me, because it'd be clear to everybody who'd win...

Sry, just dreamin' of a kinda world where those who deserve it get "theirs", me lil stupe...:patsch

  4. Whats going to bring in more money, a 100k stadium or 16k pretty simple to figure out, more people = more money...

Jerry Jones is a ****ing Billionare he could easily match what the mgm was going to offer:deal

Golden Boy inc- never wanted the fight in Dallas period...

If that's the case, how come all the top live gates took place in Vegas? Also, if I'm not mistaken, the promoters get paid off the site fee while the site takes the money from the ticket sales. Regardless, the promoters are taking all the finanical risks and aren't going to leave money on the table.

  6. The reason is because Vegas= lower taxes..
Also Gbp wanted the fight in Vegas, Oscar always gets what he wants, you know that:deal..
This fight is a promoters wet dream, there's so much money to be made, what risks are you talking about???
Dallas would have been a better site, over 100 thousand people watching a fight live, would have set an all time record , but now thats all ****ed up:-(

  7. :good thank you- best post i've seen in a while:yep..
Couldn't have said it better myself...
It will be more of a celebrity hang out for a night, than a fight, **** that..
50 CENT WILL PROBALY BE FLOYD'S WATERBOY...

I'm not really surprised. I had a feeling it was gonna take place there, since that's where all the major fights go.

What do income taxes have to do with live gate figures? Anyway, I can understand fans wanting the fight in Dallas. However, I can't blame the promoters for chosing the site that pays them the most money. They are the ones taking all of the financial risks.

there is just too much money in Vegas not to have the fight there. Plus they have the hotels to accomodate everyone.
