I was at twin peaks watching the fight about to board a cruise the next day. I thought pbf would dominate and he did. I wasn't disappointed I knew it wouldn't be close.
Prime pac had no answers for pbfs ability to control range and dictate distance on him. Pbf beats any version of pac because of this. when will you realize this? Anything else is wishful thinking.
The only wishful thinking is wishing the fight happened earlier. I'm sure we've had this same conversation dozens of times over the last 7 years lol.
I was at my home with good friends. I picked Floyd in the past if they ever squared off and I picked him 7 years ago. Nothing really disappointed me about it. Anyone with knowledge of the sport knew what Floyd was going to do. I slapped a hundo down and enjoyed
The only thing that disappointed me was Pac saying he had a hurt shoulder before the fight. Left an astrix on the fight.
Yeah, and there was also Mayweather apparently using banned IV injections before the fight. Not only was the fight boring but the actions from both camps further tainted the event.
100 dollars..crappy ppv. really dissapointed with Pacquiao and his shoulder excuse. They should have fought after pac Hatton KO.
Fight should have happened in 2009 after cotto/clottey. Only way it doesnt hurt boxing is if Pac knocks Floyd out. Otherwise it would always end up a boring 8-4 type decision that turns casuals away from boxing. People who only know knew Tyson and Ali were hyped for this fight expecting some hagler hearns type war. Only to end up saying, that was it? ****ing boring sport... Like a hyped wc football final to end with a team parking the bus and winning a lackluster match.
I was asleep when it happened. I don't think I have ever been as hyped for a fight as Mayweather/Pacquiao but that was in 2010 by 2015 when the fight happened I didn't care, it was too little, too late for me, it had lost all meaning at that point. I didn't even bother watching it afterwards. I read about the outcome and all the BS with Pac's shoulder, lurked on threads on here to get peoples opinions on the fight and decided not to watch it. I did eventually watch it but maybe 2-3 years after it happened.
Yea 100% agree. He was throwing with conviction start of the fight. If anything he hurt it at some point during.
It was the biggest but not the best fight to make. glad I didn't waste any money it. It was like an exhibition fight ffs. very bad advert for the sport in general.
Kin hell...err..stayed up all night getting shitfaced watching the fight...instead of going to sleep for abit...had a shower and went to my mates wedding where the Mrs of 4 years was a bridesmaid...I basically got Dru k at the wedding but friendly drunk...I did blackout eventually but apparently didn't do anything bad and was just being funny. Next day I went back down south to go back to my barracks n the Mrs messaged n said I don't love you anymore don't come home again...refused any contact with me never saw stepkids again....basically had to pack up my life n live on the barracks for a few years n didn't go home much n finally a few years later someone let slip that I'd mentioned at the wedding I wanted a kid but the Mrs didn't want another ...and so i could have a kid with someone else she just cut all ties with me...I'd basically thought for about 5 years that I'd done something bad at the wedding like tried to pull someone or something but no I'd done nowt wrong Was a pretty rough period where I basically went off the rails and regressed to my old alcoholic self for a few ...years lol
