Could this be a lot like Frazier-Ali? If this was a 15 I bet Pacqiauo would put Mayweather on his butt past the twelfth. Mayweather is the natrual bigger fighter. He is the better defensive fighter of the two but Manny puts out a lot of punches from all kinds of angles. Could Mayweather adapt to Pacquiao's style or would it prove to be too much. I think this would make for a great fight. I hope it comes off.

It's a close fight if you think real boxing is like Rocky.

Actual truth is Mosely and Marquez combined only landed 110 total punches on Mayweather. And maybe 3 of them were quality.

Floyd would land at least 250 shots on Manny. Most of them power shots.

Manny's reputation is based on hitting people who are very easy to hit, and who use being hit as a tactic. Brawlers want you to hit them, so you leave yourself open.

Manny's never had the speed or accuracy to have that success with guy's of Floyd's style.

Look at Josh Clottey. Landed everything he threw. Manny landed maybe 2 quality shots all night.

I hope it comes off, but it will be a big anti climax

As in, what makes you think he'd do much better than Marquez?

Pacquiao would have a punchers chance. As in he could knock him out.

But there just isn't any chance at all he'd land more quality shots on mayweather than he got back.

You saw how much he got slowed down by quality shots against Margarito, Clottey, and Marquez. Marquez landed so many, he was finished by round 6.

He fought Mayweather, he'd have some success, but would get punished from round 1, and would be gassed by 8 or 9.

    He'd probably get knocked out

Welcome to the wonderful world of hyping a fight.

Only reason people think it's an exciting fight is because Manny's not faced any skilled guys since Marquez, and Floyd has stayed out of the ring, letting him build his reputation up against nicely matched opponents

Nah, it's more like a dumber version of Ezzard Charles vs. Archie Moore.

Floyd's just given Manny the limelight.

If you asked people 16 months ago whether a guy as small as Manny has a chance with Mayweather, they'd be bawling "He's too small. Floyd is making his legacy on beating up a featherweight" blah blah blah

Take a step back after Marquez. Let Roach re-build his rep with some nice matches against fellow brawlers.

Suddenly Floyd's going in with a small fighter, and it's a legacy fight for him...........

Floyd's way smarter than us all. Something I realized a while back

That would be 1 jab, and a few hugs

Floyd brutalized Hatton on the inside

I know emmanuel is the co-star of this fight, but you shouldn't be saying things like that!

By shutting his mouth, and just not fighting, he's basically facing a legacy fight against a midget, in which he has every conceivable advantage.

How did he manage that? By being smarter than the rest of us.

2 years ago you'd be demanding he beat Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez. Now he gets to fight a featherweight

    Hopkins-Trinidad.

One guy is slick, black, intelligent, and did some "racist" jokes that offends the foreigner and his groupies. The foreigner is beloved in his home country, always tries to light up fireworks whenever he fights, amazed people by moving up in weight divisions and destroying bigger men, and the media thinks he's hot ****.

Except that Trinidad is nothing compared to Pacquiao.

And Mayweather is about on the same level as Hopkins. Maybe a little better, in terms of career achievement?

I think they'll talk moar about him in the future than anyone else in the future. He's still fighting at 45. They don't fight to that age that often in the modern era.

More like poor mans version of Duran Vs Leonard. This is as close as we get to the golden years these days.
