The purpose of the drill is not working on proper technique, as was stated previously. Its speed, stamina, and defense.

Give the mayweather there due they founded a new system of doing things that seems to work.

its more co-ordination cuz think about it if you throw short fast punches that can only get u fast over a short distance an if its a set drill then u no wen u av 2 block the shots
im not sayin its useless but im sayin rogers not gd on pads not cuz of his style but cuz he meets the shots 2 early
i learnt on a course 4 taking pads never to do that
but to give him his due hes found success from it so good on im

This is a very difficult, tiring exercise but extremely useful.

    Again its very beneficial for:
    - Endurance
    - Hand-eye coordination
    - Defense

    Hi friends.
The thing I wondering is if there is a system in these drills, like 4 punches up - defense- 4 punches low- defense? Or is it up to the fighter to "watch out" for the punches?
    All the best
