Why is so hard to understand, i don't want to see floyd lose, only challenge himself to the max!and he is definetly ATG.I honestly think that he is so great that he can challenge Martinez,GGG,Ward

And why he should take easy fights?why not retire?there is no interesting fights for floyd anymore at 147,champion 15years and now you start demanding easy fights?go Duran challenge Hagler, show your balls to the max, leave all in win or lose i don't mind, show me only how good you really are

Based on you logic i would recommend Floyd to fight Wladimir Klitschko, that would be an even better win than Ward. There are of course supermiddles Floyd could compete with just due to his skills, but Ward´s size in combination with his skills is just an impossible mission for Floyd. When you really think Floyd could maybe do this, you simply underrate Ward´s skills. There´s a reason why he has beaten Kessler, Froch and Dawson. A lot of boxing fans maybe do not like his style, but he´s a great boxer with huge skills.

The fact is there is nobody at 154lbs or below that can even give Mayweather a difficult fight and that includes Pac. Pac has been in decline for a while now it's no longer a competitive fight because of this.

I'd like to see Mayweather fight Martinez and then Golovkin. Martinez is a former 154lbs fighter and could easily come down and fight Mayweather for the light middleweight titles he won against Canelo. It would give Martinez the biggest pay day of his career and a chance of being a 2 weight champion and give Mayweather a shot at a top middleweight but at lower weight, making it a good tester to see if he can go up and fight a genuine middleweight like Golovkin.

In terms of legacy it would be huge for Mayweather to beat both and quite frankly anyone else other than them or Pac would just be a routine defence now that he has set the bar so high.

I think Ward is too much for little floyd, but you never know how good floyd is.do you want to see Mayweather against garcia?khan?now i say what the hell :rofl

I'm a floyd fanatic but i don't want to protect her 0!Go balls to the walls and prove the haters.and honestly if floyd fight example ward and lose,so ****in what?but imagine if he wins,GOAT miles ahead everyone!Roberto Duran natural lighweight/WW challenged Hagler, after that beat Barkley, why not Floyd?or atleast show samekind of courage, don't hate.

Khan fight is comical but would sell, that's all that matters this late in Mayweather's career. As far as proving anything is concerned, he proved all he could, if you can't see it nor can you appreciate it then it's your problem. Moving up to fight GGG and Ward is a ******ed plan.

And why everyone is sticking to my ward comment?i said Martinez then GGG and after that Ward if floyd wanted to show he is the ultimate boxer!i never say that floyd ducked ward, floyd never should be in same ring with ward unless he really want to prove he is the GOAT,that is all what i'm saying,Floyd never can pass the likes of armstrong,SRL and couple of others unless he does something crazy.the name's on floud resume aren't enough

still Mayweather is my favourite boxer, and earlier already said i don't complain if floyd don't move up,only keep saying that if Floyd want Goat status he should follow my ******ed plan, and you say khan fight is comical but sell, what avout martinez for MW title?to you comical but would sell more than khan and would add the finishing touches to mayweather great career.stupid or not,Duran was idiot for fighting Hagler,Barkley?

Hiya mate, I'll give you a good, honest, objective debate, at anytime, without any name calling.

I'm not pissed at all my friend.

John Garfield asked why Floyd had to fight a MW, to be classed as an ATG?

So I replied, to tell him that he'd misread your question, and that you were asking Floyd to go up to MW to be considered the GOAT.

But after I'd replied to him, I saw that you had already replied to him, to explain his error.

So that's why I deleted my post.

Because you had responded to him already.

I hope that clears things up. :good

I'm discussing this in another thread. I hold Floyd responsible for the fight with Manny Pac falling through.

In my honest opinion, there's absolutely no chance whatsoever that Floyd would even consider fighting Martinez or GGG, and Andre Ward is a 168 fighter.

    It would never happen.

If he wouldn't fight Alvarez at 152, he wouldn't be willing to fight those guys, even if they agreed to go to 154.

I think his reflexes, and speed. And youthful personality makes people forget that he's 36. 4 years off from 40.

It's different losing weight as a young man than it is at an old man.
He has no business at 154. Let alone 160. He's too small. His body frame is too small.

If he were like most fighters in todays generation who dehdyrate themselves before weigh-ins to make weight, he'd be fighting at 140.

Garcia and Matthysse both came in at 150 like most 140 pounders do.

Floyd came in fighting at Jr Middleweight weighing only 150.

He was fighting 2 weight classes up, and weighed the exact same thing they both did.

The days of fight night weigh ins are over.

If he gets in there with GGG, he's going to be fighting a huge GGG. Not 160. Most likely 170. maybe 175.

He's 36, he deserves to cruise out in his own weight class.

I know a lot of people want to see him lose, but he has to have some things in his advantage too.

He doesnt rehydrate at all, and shouldnt be in there with most 54's, 60 is pushing it.
    :think

Thank you for your reply, and i think quite few have misunderstood my post, because everyone is compalaining why i mention Martinez GGG and Ward, and in their minds want floyd to lose.no i want floyd to show is he the greatest or not and that's the only way to prove it,not fighting at 147 against khan of the world, yes floyd is too small.so were Duran etc.. And to your post i really think floyd would want fight against martinez at CW about 156-158 or should want.because fighting garcia, khan is ****ing lame.but maybe those are for money, either way i'm not interested, total missamatches.

I honestly feel it's bob arum and little bit floyd being too greedy.but i can understand why people think floyd ducked manny, but also why people feel arum ducked floyd.and yes manny never ducked floyd it was bob,but in the end maybe they both ducked each others little bit?we never know for sure, only speculation.

Mayweather fighting at MW is within the realm of possibility. It has to be the right opponent and situtation though. Martinez is that guy considering his age, size, and standing as the legitimate champ at MW. The only problem is his ties with HBO. Supposedly, he owes them two more fights. So Mayweather vs. Martinez is a fight that probably couldn't happen until 2015. It would be the perfect farewell fight for both guys.

Good post!and i agree that floyd is too small, but my point in post is that if floyd wants to be the GOAT he have do something crazy and move up.i don't mind if floyd stays WW i only want to see him pushed to extreme, and still win!i honestly feel floyd is too good for garcia etc..floyd needs ultimate challenges, big weight difference etc...he is that good.
