I think his last fight will be for the MW WBC strap.

    Garcia
    Alexander-Khan winner
    Broner / Bradley
    Martinez, most probably @ catchweight

Martinez has to fight some modest fighters to keep his title before the possible fight with Floyd. Then he can fight 3G.

If he moved up to MW and beat Martinez i his next fight he would be Ring and WBC champion in 3 weight classes consecutively. Thats pretty impressive. Im a big Floyd fan and i think he should fight Martinez then Golovkin and have them weigh say 156lbs. If he fights them and beats them at 156 i think that's a fair shout and will do wonders for his legacy. I really cant see Floyd making 160 no matter how much he eats, he is just too small.

I do think Floyd v Garcia would be a good fight, Garcia comes to fight and will not stand there and be picked apart for 12 rounds. I would also like a Floyd v Bradley type fight. Khan will get brutally KO'd by Alexander, his punch resistance is literally zero so that fight will never happen.

I think Pac will beat Rios and the hype will once again start but the fight will never happen whilst Arum is around. That snake wants all the cash for himself so wont promote out with top rank.

I understand, but if he was going to move up in weight it would have had to been years ago.

He's already fighting 24 lbs above his original weight class. Giving up damn near 15 pounds everytime he fights.

And to be honest. Im starting to think theres no answer on how to beat Floyd. Because he doesnt have a style. he reacts to whatever the fighter brings.

People are writing Canelo off, but that was SUPPOSED to be a challenge.

15 lbs, 13 years on him. Canelo is a solid boxer at that. I dont think anyone had that fight being the blowout it was.

Everyone was saying he'd win, but that it'd be the toughest fight of his career, and it wasnt even close.

to me mayweather is slightly better than duran but still behind in ATG just because duran got the balls to try the impossible.can you tell me why other mayweather fans are so sensitive when i want floyd push himself?to me is better to find your limits than just be safe.other than that mayweather is best atleast on my mind, and fighting Martinez and maybe Ward even losing but putting on great perfomance would push floyd very near ATG status.

Nowadays Boxing is not THE FIGHT GAME is the $$$$$$$$$ & con Game.
The day that the Heavyweight Champion of the World was regarded as the supreme athlete has long gone. Its all about $$$$$$$$ & politics

i have to say before alvarez bout i was 100% sure its easy work for floyd, nothing special about thay win.and i think also there is no style to beat floyd, only size will play factor when the gap is too big,i only want to see how big floyd can make the gap and still win.honestly feel that even in MW,Martinez and GGG don't have chance, only punchers chance.too fast, too smart, and after that maybe ward even it sounds ridicolous, maybe floyd would lose badly, who cares?he find limits for himself, and everyone would say what a ****in warrior go all the way to up SMW nobody would remember the loss.and think the impossible?may winning or even putting a fight?GOAT no questions asked.
and i have seen so many floyd fights that i don't want waste time for garcia fight, that's joke like the guerrero fight,we know already the result.why even fight?

There's nothing wrong with pushing yourself. Comparing Duran to Mayweather is apples and oranges though. They're from two different eras and are two different fighters. Take Duran's fight against Hagler. That fight took place in the days of same day weigh ins. Hagler was around 158 and and Duran was around 157. So Duran was only giving up a pound on fight night, Duran had to cut weight for that fight, and Hagler was only about 5'9" himself and walked around at about 165-170 lbs.

If Mayweather fights at MW, he'll be giving up around 20 or more pounds on fight night. Remember, Floyd walks around at around 152 lbs. Duran was not fighting above his walking around weight. I'm not saying Floyd can't fight at MW, but it's a much different situation in terms of him fighting at MW compared to Duran. Fighting Ward at SMW is total no go. That would be just foolish.

If Sergio severed ties with HBO, that would be the best matchup to make for FLoyd as far as legacy goes. Sergio is not a naturally large MW, so he shouldn't have a problem meeting Floyd at 157 or 158 lbs, is considered the true MW champion, is about the same age as Floyd, has an exponentially better resume than any other MW, and is still considered a top P4P guy.

It makes too much sense, the only thing that really is stopping that fight from being made is that Maravilla is an HBO fighter. But money talks, and he'd receive his biggest payday ever by fighting FLoyd so it could possibly happen, at least I hope so.

But as others mentioned, Floyd isn't obliged to fight any MW's, but if he did, wow what an accomplishment that would be. I'd actually favor Mayweather against Sergio.

^^@ StylezG--What do you think Martinez would rehydrate up to on fight night? I don't think he'd come into the ring past 165, maybe 168 lbs. He's not a naturally large MW. The other MW's though are a totally different story as far as rehydration goes.

Martinez generally hydrates up to around 170. For a Mayweather fight though, he'd be in better shape than normal and probably would be around 165 to 168 lbs.

even if he did move up to 160 and win the middleweight title, he still wouldn't be the goat. anyone who can make that claim simply does not know enough about boxing.

i also have mentioned many times it's okay floyd to stay where he is,only i'm not interested about the current possibly fights there.and the post is all about if floyd want to be remembered as GOAT then he is forced to move up.it sounds ridicolous but think about SRR etc.. those are impossibld to beat if floud stays where he is.i'm only dissapointed by the floyd fans that they don't want to see floyd test himself in MW,maybe i'm extreme mayweather fan because i feel may would win the MW title, and that would be unbeliavable archievement.and nobody can deny that.

There is no objective way to determine the greatest boxer ever is. There are so many different classes, and the sport has changed dramatically through the years. In the end though, and if you can dominate your era, and make a strong impression on the people, then you can be mentioned amongst the greatest.
