^^@ Jonze86--HIm going up to MW and beating Martinez would have to make even the most critical naysayers recognize he's an ATG and should be mentioned with the upper echelons of the greatest ever. He'd definitely be in my top 10 if he can pull off that accomplishment.

you can't say your opinion is right and mine is wrong.and vice versa.it's my honest opinion and you should respect that and i respect your opinion.or have you invited time machine and you can put SRR to ring against may?and old timers are favored to much because they fight so many times, and many those opponents are not good.May could easily be 145-3-2 something like that fighting between de la hoya, cotto etc 5-6 tomato cans each time

Floyd will never have the will and determination that guys like Duran had.

Could you honestly envisage Floyd fighting Hearns and Hagler, if he'd have been in Duran's shoes?

    It would never have happened.

what i have seen from floyd, absolutely not. atleast Hagler, until he shows that he moves up to MW. i know he is too small and people hate me because i wanr floyd prove himself, because i honestly still feel he got the skill levels to do that, that's why i'm arguing with you in other post.feel that floyd have SRR skill level..i don't argue that floyd is higher than SRR in ATG rankings, until he moved atleast to MW.hope you understand, that i'm only arguing that floyd is on SRR level, only have to prove that :smoke

i dont think that mayweather will ever get the credit he deserves? unless or until he proves himself to be a warrior.

even the most skillful boxer`s have wars.

    well, if they want recognition..

martinez is over the hill, his last fight showed that, GGG currently is still waiting recognition, by floyd haters.

it seems the only person everyone would give him credit for is for fighting ward, which is a jke.. and a step too far..

martinez v GGG floyd fights the winner.

theres still still some that will say as i have a martinez win would prove little (last year diff story)
i do still think GGG would get credibilty for the win, (i think he`s the real deal btw, not a fan boy just an observer)

if floyd puts on a winning show and boxing lesson on GGG credits is deserved and earned, but i`d still like to see mayweather in a genuine war!

i like jonze86 ethos about ward tho, put on a great showing even with a loss would give him more credibility.

i`m not sure he has the bottle for that tho..

its goin gto be interesting to see if pacman has 1 last hurrah left in him, i`d be lying if i didnt think he was in decline, but 1 knockout doesnt a shot fighter make.
marquez had plenty of chances to get his game plan right..
again marquez if he beats bradley has earned another shot at floyd.. techincially bradley has too... but i digress...

I like you Jonze, I wish all Mayweather extremists were like you. I agree with what you are saying also. To become the GOAT you have to do something extraordinary, that won't happen again for another 50 years.

It's fine mate, I respect your opinion, and I love debating.

I personally feel that SRR was a better all around fighter, but Floyd is definitely one of the greatest ability wise.

Pretty Boy would be wise to avoid a 160lb Ward fight like the plague. And when Ward proposed it, we all heard crickets from Floyd's camp.

He had a great career. He's rich. In his mind, he is the best ever. Why would he go up to 160 where he would be in extremely deep waters to prove to a bunch of keyboard gladiators that he is the goat. He still wouldn't get accolade. The name of the game is, lets just keep moving the goal post until he loses. Then we can say, "see I told you so".

Let's say he did fight Martinez or ggg or god forbid ward and lost 1 or 2 of them. Like it or not, us hardcore boxers would still say he is one of the best of all time time . But believe me, most casual fans will lose a lot of respect and some might go a far as say, not even the best of this generation, for floyd because he lost 1 fight and no longer undefeated. Now that is a fact. Casuals don't know a damn thing about boxing except the 0.
