I myself being NOT a fan of Floyd Mayweather read these forum's finding plenty of negative post aimed towards Mayweather. With all the negatives, does anyone have anything plus's or things you do like about Mayweather? Great defensive, adjustable fighter is the only thing that comes to mind.
His speed is generally overrated but his timing was superb. He has great defensive awareness and sense of range and phenomenal footwork. He also works harder than most boxers, if not all. If he sat on his punches or had less hand problems (more power) I think he'd be a little more highly regarded by some. He may not be a humanitarian or winning Man of the Year award but he's an exceptional boxer.
Positive things about Mayweather: - By focussing on boxing, it has probably saved the lives of many women who would have otherwise crossed him. - His boxing record is a good one, he only has 6 more losses than Lomachenko. That's about it.
I'd say he's certainly inspired a lot of young boxers. And I do approve of his message of hardwork, dedication.
Easily one of the hardest working athletes to grace the sport. Never balooned up in weight between fights. Always stayed dedicated to perfecting his art. This is easily what he should be admired most for
