In an older interview Naseem said this about Mayweather:"I never had anythink in my heart against my opponenets, but he seems to have ,this malice, bad intention or bad feeling, and all that does is takes the shine of a star away from him, how really good he is"
Do you agree? I do. Here is the link to the interview, he talks about Mayweather at 2:05 :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Rz7uikJS2o

Mayweather basically called out Hamed after the Corrales fight.

At 130 you'd have to lean towards Mayweather, but a motivated, Ingle-trained Hamed would've had a punchers chance.

I think naz has finally lost the plot, some of the stuff he use to come out with when he was boxing was far worse.

Mayweather wanted the fight at a catchweight of 128, i doubt hamed would have even a punchers chance. He'd get beat up bad, he got a good chin so probably sees the final bell but takes a beating in the process

Good analysis stevebhoy87, probably how it would've gone down. Still, Hamed WOULD have had a punchers chance. Mayweather had a good chin but was more gung-ho at 130. Barrera wisely shifted tactics to avoid getting hit flush by Hamed.

An Ingle-trained Hamed would've beaten Barrera imo, no doubt. An Ingle-trained Hamed would've had a punchers chance against Floyd, no doubt.

These are all ifs and buts. If Hamed had scraped past Barrera with that performance with some kinda dodgy decision (and it would've had to be I had it 116-112 in favour of MAB) then that Hamed would've suffered the fate you predicted had he fought Floyd.

I think the only thing that doesn't go in Mayweather's favor is the fact that he acts like a classless ******* before fights, that's what he is trying to say.

When you're in the ring, you need primitives instincs, the animal killer instinc and bad intentions. Duran had it, Hagler had it, Tyson had it. I don't say that you won't succeed without it, but it is a big plus because it gives you another kind of mentality, you know like animals fighting for their lives, so it boosts you. You have to hate your opponnent and want to hurt him.

But you need to know how to control yourself and don't act like that in real life, like some boxers do.

I tend to agree he would have beaten barrera during his ingle trained times though many don't

The reason i don't really give him much of a punchers chance is because i rate floyd chin very highly, its gets overlooked a bit because off his defence a bit like whitaker's did as well however its is top notch i think to stop floyd would really need to be through accumalation. The only fighters at 130 and 135 that i would give more than about 5 % chance of managing it would be arguello, ike williams and duran and really don't think they would either

Naz was at his best at super bantamweight, i think he was unbeatable at that weight, he was too quick and powerful for anyone. at featherweight it was a different story, he never carried the speed through, even though he still was quick, at featherweight he would rely on his one punch power too much and that is why barrera dealt with him with such ease, and mayweather would do the same.

Hamed would've been splattered worse than he was by Marco Antonio

Floyd had the chance to become a legend at 130 alone. Add Casamayor, Freitas and Hamed to his 130 legacy. Not to mention other belts, defences etc and we are talking serious ****.

Anyway, Floyd at 128 owns Hamed.

2nd round K.O?!?!!? I'm sorry but Naz had a very good chin, the only chance Floyd has of achieving that result is if the 3-knockdown rule is in effect.

I can't see it happening at all but I would love him to come back.

Boxing needs people like Hamed, there is nobody out there at the moment who can entertain the way he could.
