Short article over at the hype! Im suprised but it certainly is a good thing whilst devon might not be in the top 3 of 140 Lbers he has a decent following in the Lou and if he wins a few fights he might earn Floyd some money.

I didnt think Floyd was serious about this promotional thing but he seems to be....good for him and good for boxing imo!

LOL. I hope this is true. Bradley, Khan, Maidana, Kotelnik, Judah, Guerrero, Morales, Mattysse are all better than Alexander. Even Peterson, Holt, Alvarado, etc might be better that him.

Thats a good move for Devon.

If he wants to ruin his career.

    Good move
They probably thought this guy is downright unbeatable except against Bradley, even if he loses he still wins. :yep

If Alexander signs with Mayweather and moves up to 147 does that mean Mayweather is looking at him as a possible opponent if a Pacquaio fight doesn't happen? Not exactly a fight that most are clamoring for.

Alexander doesn't have the star power to entice Mayweather, who knows how to sell fights. Maybe he sees potential in the kid he wants to put it to best use. I remember the look of pain on his face from the crowd as Kotelnik counter-punched Devon's stiff and open head all night.

I remember one poster saying that Mayweather Promotions isn't really a legitimate promotions company though, and that they're preventedfrom actually holding events in Las Vegas because of a no-license ban; is this true?
