    And what was Floyd's best wins ? A green Canelo ? An undersized Marquez? honestly what sets them apart ?

    Correction: 20 IBF title defenses: only 6 lineal title defenses....don't inflate his achievements....anyone with his kind of talent fighting those caliber of guys is gonna rack up many defenses...Look at Calzaghe's " Title record"....his challengers were crappy too and he gets waaay too much credit for wins over an overhyped Lacy and ancient and shot Jones

    The sheer irony of that comment is unbelievable - remember Allan, Dawson, Calzaghe, Jones 2, etc etc :crybaby:|

    Its not even a debate to any boxing expert with a knowledge of the sport.

    You BJ are clearly a c0ck sucking Hopkins fanboy :lol:

    Its pretty simple to me...Floyd may weather will go down as the greater fighter... He adapted in tough fights and he won like Castillo, Jesus Chavez, odlh, and maidana 1....Hopkins had a great run at middleweight but for 5 years fought nobodies for the IBF belt....the quality of opposition sucked

    OK lineal titles won Floyd has won 4, Hopkins 2

    Lineal title defenses Floyd has 16...Hopkins 9

    Champions and titleholders defeated: Floyd 20(9 lineal champs) Hopkins 16(7 lineal champs)

    Hopkins has shown guys who were more athletic n busier with skills could beat cagey style even in his prime...Jones,Taylor,calzaghe, Dawson, kov proved this

    May weather may arguably the best mid fight adjuster ever

    I love both guys but based off opposition, skills, titles won n defenses...its clear may weather has the greater legacy

    Also look at the champions and contenders they fought...Mayweather was more dominant against superior opposition look at their top ten wins...several of Hopkins are moving up to fight him whereas Mayweather fought in 5 weight classes and went undefeated.

    TOP 10 wins...you gotta look at more than just names but when he beats them as well...several of Hopkins best wins are guys moving up, Past prime or just average fighters

    Hopkins : Trinidad, ODLH, Tarver, Pascal, Wright, Antwun Echols, John David Jackson, Glenn Johnson, Jones(washed up) and Pavlik

    Mayweather best wins: Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, Cotto, ODLH, Genaro Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Canelo Alvarez, Judah, and Marquez

    LOL Jones jr never fought any of those guys either yet you rate him lol
    Actually Bernard was on the same Tyson bill that Quincy Taylor was on. I was with Quincy, That was the night Don King & Richard Steele conspired to rob Quincy of the WBC middleweight title by Keith Holmes. It was just coincidence that Holmes was managed by Carl King Don's step son
    Bernard came to Quincy & said " You was robbed man that was blatant. Don't you think of quitting though cause you & me gotta get in on we are the 2 best middleweights in the world" He meant it too. Sadly Quincy was coerced into signing with Don with promises of rematches etc. Don supressed Quincy so bad he never fought again. Only one fight years later when he KO'd an unbeaten fighter in 4

    Ummmm, Roy Jones handed james Toney his first pro loss back in the early 1990's (93 or 94 i believe). So, yeah Jones Jr did in fact fight one of those guys :deal

    Jones fought who was considered the best out of the bunch in Toney and completely outclassed him when he was undefeated...he also has the win between Hopkins-Jones that means something when Jones was 24 and Hopkins was 28

    that's two all time greats....Also Jones beat Jorge Castro, the same Castro who kayoed John David Jackson years before Hopkins beat a washed up version

    He beat SugarBoy Malinga before he went on to beat Nigel Benn

    all between 1992-1995 when Bernard was struggling with the likes of Sergundo Mercado after that defending against...Willie Bo James, Steve Frank and Andrew Council...who are they again?

    Back on Topic...besides anything involving age...Mayweather has shown he is a slight notch above Hopkins accomplishment and competition wise...he has fought in better weight divisions and beat better fighters.

    Both are true all time greats...I just wish Hopkins chased big fights in the 90's when his division or 154 and 168 was loaded.

    Hopkins = legendary ATG
    Floyd = duck ATG

    ....now that you see it , is duck ATG higher than legendary ATG?

    Was De La Hoya a cherry pick?
    Was Cotto a cherry pick?
    Was Hernandez and Corrales a cherry pick?
    Was Castillo a cherry pick?

    None of those look like Cherry picks when Oscar was the top LMW, Castillo was the top LW, and Corrales and Hernandez were top SFWs. Also credit to Floyd for beating Baldomir and Judah. Although Baldomir beat Judah, I feel Judah was a harder fight for Floyd which he could have not taken, but he did and that deserves credit

    How was Judah and Baldomir cherry picks? How was De La Hoya and Cotto cherry picks?
    Hopkins has fought several fighters from smaller weight divisions. Are they cherry picks?
