Like they need more money for gate revenue. Lol......I mean, it would line their pockets a LOT more by having the fight at a massive venue but in Texas xylocaine is NOT allowed and is considered a PED like it is in every other state outside of NV. Floyd has problems with his hands so he only fights in Vegas where xylocaine injections are allowed.
Holyfield vs Bean was the only major heavyweight fight that got unanimously passed. The commission at first denied Damian Wills as KINGPIN's opponent; their reasoning, Wills was KO'd versus Arreola. Sucks when Tennessee, notorious for padding records, bum fights, etc is more adapt at housing big fights.
Here is an. Article on the Cole's corruption http://www.blogtalkradio.com/vegasv...ence-cole-boxing-corruption-a-referee-exposed
What about NYC A doctor let a seriously hurt fighter leave the arena when he collapsed outside they were told to get a taxi to take him to the emergeancy room at the hospital
yeah Tennessee is right up there with Kentucky trying to think of the Tennessee referee that is such a joke and just as bad as Cole he has a real hick accent can't think of his name though dude is awful. :-(
Oh. In favor of Mayweather. Oh well, he still sucks as a ref and has messed up more than enough times to warrant some investigation. Not that his daddy would investigate him.
Actually I was in and around Texas boxing from 1986 until 2003 I knew Lawrence Cole and his father very well I saw many of the fights he officiated & I'll repeat I never saw him do what Cortez & Bayless did. They were practically Mayweathers bodyguards . I don't need to research Texas boxing as I was a very small part of it for many years
Xylocaine is allowed in Texas, among many other states. The boxer must have a viable doctor release (prescription) to use it, and a witness (commissioner or inspector) has to verify the proper use of xylocaine.
Cole gave him his opinion of who was winning it was wrong yes but not as bad as some of the Vegas shennanikins
