Exactly, Cotto needs to talk to Floyd.

That's true too, if he wants to build his legacy he needs to fight the best.

Floyd is tellng everyone in the world it is about money only. I love being on ESPN. It is all about money for him right now, but yes he has been champion in five diffierent weight classes, but he needs to fight a few more interesting fights starting with Cotto. I believe he will beat Cotto unless he comes in unfocused or makes a mistake. He should fight Cotto after Oscar. I hope Oscar beats him so that he can be humbled. I beat Oscar with my C game!!!! I actually am a Floyd fan, but all the fame got to his head. Oscar still makes more money than Floyd. Let Floyd just fight a top ten WW and see his numbers. His numbers are high only due to fighting Oscar and Hatton. Where else did he make crazy money and numbers fighting anyone else. What I fear will happen is that Cotto will eventually lose and then Floyd will fight him and the numbers will still be high due to Cotto's fanbase. I don't know what Floyd is talking about, that Cotto needs to build a bigger fanbase. It's boxing not a popularity contest. Everyone has to become a CEO before they fight him????

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses. OK... let's look at this objectively if we can. There are 3 main reasons that he doesn't fight Cotto at this point.

    1. Cotto needs to increase his fan base.
1(a) Cotto needs to increase his numbers in PPV
    2. He needs to build up himself
    3. PBF and Bob Arum don't look eye to eye.

ok... Let's analyse this 3 areas...

    1. The first three reasons go actually hand to hand. But here is my discrepancy with PBF. He actually mentions that Cotto is from PR and that he has a lot of fans in PR but when you look into it... the fan letter actually comes out of the UK, therefore, we can actually assume that Cotto has fan base outside PR.

1(a) I believe that Cotto has increased his PPV numbers... His fight against Judah came with more than 250K PPV orders and his fight against Moshley came with more than 400K PPV orders. If PBF is waiting for a Trinidad vs DLH PPV number against Cotto he can just say it and from that point of view we can all understand and wait but don't say that Cotto has no fan base outside of PR because it's just not true.

    2. "He needs to build himself" again, I think PBF is talking from the fan base point of view in which I have discussed already. I don't think that he is saying that Cotto did not had a fight with top A boxers because he has... At least in the past 2 years we can debate that Cotto has been in the ring with around the same class fighters as PBF.

    3. The Aurum issue... ok Floyd, I'll give you this one as a legitimate answer since you are all about money now days. We can't demand for you to make business with Arum if you don't want. However, let's put a middle person that can make this happen from a business perspective and can represent Floyd... that could be Golden Boy Promotions. I know Floyd mentions that Aurum and DLH do not look eye to eye but actually Bob has made successful business with GBP (ie Cotto vs Shane). So I'll suggest that Floyd can put them as a middle managment so he doesn't have to deal with Arum directly and we can do business.

I honestly feel that Floyd is running out of dance partners and soon or later he will have to face Miguel if Miguel still unbeated by the end of this year and convincingly beats Gomez, Margarito/Cintron and by the end of this year we should be talking about another fight for Cotto... perhaps Hatton or another top 10 fighter on the WW.

Who the hell has Cotto beaten to deserve a shot at Floyd? The Undertaker has been fighting the best for 35 years now. He fought Hogan 17 times, Flair 13, holds wins over his brother Kane (actually set him on fire) Cotto never set anybody on fire! Floyd's a true champ for taking on such a seasoned vet :deal

    He makes sense --- absolutely.
Cotto still has some work to do.
Like show that he is the best of the rest.
In order to build pay-per-views, he needs to do some housecleaning at 147.
He has beaten --- Zab and Quintana and thats about it.

Why won't the P4P #1 try to do some "housecleaning" at 147?

I love you Mayweather defenders, with the warped logic.

Cotto has beaten Judah, Quintana and Mosley at 47, who has Floyd beat there?
