    And that's fine, if the MO is to make the most $. But in none of those fights does he defend against a true WW.

    sure this has been mentioned, but on the whole Cotto doesn't have a big enough name argument, anywhere the fight takes place it will be a guaranteed sell out. It would be incredible if they fought at Madison Square Garden on the eve of the Puerto Rican day pirade in '09, sell out. Even if it's in vegas at anytime, sellout. I'd also be willing to bet that the PPV #'s would be better than the Hatton fight.

    p4p is not based on 1 weight class. your argument is biased and flawed. floyd is the WBC weerweig champion. if floyd decided to face a larger fighter at 154 he has the right to do that as long as he defends his wbc title. he just defended that title so your argument is garbage and akes no sense.

    beating fighters who are not on your level does not improve your leac.how many welterweighs would be considered to beat floyd at 147:deal

    floyd's legacy ids secure and does not hinge on beating a fighter of cotto's caliber.:deal

    Oscar fights at or above 154. He hasn't fought at 147 for over 7 years. Hatton is imminently beatable @ 147. One fighter had already provided some proof of this before Floyd knocked him out. He is, however, an elite 140 lber.

    True welterweights right now (IMHO):
    * Miguel Cotto
    * Shane Mosley
    * Antonio Margarito
    * Carlos Quintana
    * Kermit Cintron
    * Joshua Clottey
    * Zab Judah
    * Luis Collazo
    * Andre Berto

    You're still off. Genaro Hernandez was not headed to retirement when he fought Floyd. He was 32. He even had a fight at 135 scheduled after he fought Floyd. However, they discovered a blood clot in his leg and he retired.

    You're too stupid to comprehend the fact that Floyd's resume looks better with Cotto's scalp then without.

    I thought you had 5 MAsters Degrees? Why are you so clueless? :huh

    It was the last fight of what a 14 year career? Floyd hasnt been in only 12, so it gives you a persepective. It was also after DLH brutally beat him. His career was winding DOWN and his body finally gave out:good

    so floyd is a fake fighter for not facingt cotto in your retarted mind. once again what has cotto accomplished in his career that was greater than what floyd accomplished:deal since we are talking about legacy what is cotto's legacy is it greater than floyd's:deal would floyd be favored to loose to a guy whose never beaten another champion. cotto is no duran, hagler, or hearns, and has never beaten another ATG in their prime:lol:

    now onto casa what has casa accomplished in his career that was greater than what floyd accomplshed..don't worry I''' wait.

    what abut the alcoholic, drugaddict spadafora what did he accomplish at 135 to warrant a fight with floyd. you have never posted one figthter spadafora beat that would warrant a fight with floyd. same goes for casa who did he beat at 130 to warrant a fight with floyd.

    too lame, you say floyd should be "happy" to collect his hard earned money:blood why would floyd be happy to collect what is due to him from bob arum.

    is it because he is black and you feel he is not entitled to what he has earned:hey unlike you floyd would never settle for mediocrity:deal

    Like I said, he planned on continuing fighting. Yes, his body gave out. However, it's not he planned on the Mayweather fight being his last. Furthermore, Chicanito fought Hoya 3 years before Floyd.

    and you're too stupid to realize that floyd has bigger money fights then cotto. cotto is no hagler, hearns or duran:deal he does nothing for floyd's legacy right now. the only way cotto steps in the ring with floyd is if bob pays floyd what he is owed from 2005:deal

    and from a staunch hater like yourself why are you worried about floyd's resume. go **** off back to the cave you crawled out of:yep
