He can't attract 300k buy by himself ... he did good with Mosley but you have to factor in that Mosley still has a good name in boxing.

Why do you think that Cotto v Gomez is on regular HBO rather than PPV ... He can't get 100k buys by himself against Gomez because the boxing public would not want to see that.

A PPV event world wide wouldn't get much support because not many fans across the globe know who Cotto is ...

If Cotto and Tito fought on the same night and both were on PPV ... Tito would get the majority of the buys because he's Tito and Cotto would be left with the left overs.

Cotto isn't a household name and isn't a PPV attraction ... he has to beat some known names - and rack up some title defenses ... Floyd doesn't care about the fight -- he wants to get paid ... he's paid his dues, being a champion since 98 and has never lost a fight so why can't he ask one simple thing from Cotto.

Bruseles was a stepping stone into the LWW division it wasn't a championship fight nor was it PPV ... Zab was the former undisputed champion and has a big name - along w/ the tainted IBF strap ... Baldmoir was the legit, true, universally recognized champion ... they all brought something to the table - legacy wise ...

Cotto brings nothing to the table ... he's not a big name (to casual fans) ... he's doesn't have a lineal title ... his only hope would be to bring an undefeated record and some nice fan fair ... if he could produce 300k buys by himself ... the fight wouldve already happened.

PBF can do 350+ buys by himself ... he proved that fighting Judah and Baldomir who before that never had PPV fights ... Judah was coming off a loss to a guy no one had ever heard of and that fight still did 350k ... same with Baldomir ...

He also brought 20k UK fans all the way to the US to watch him fight for $2500 ringside seats.

There was money to be made in that fight ... and on top of that Hatton was undefeated and won a WW title from a champion ...
