SHane beat DLH twice, head to head. . .when DLH was in his prime. SHane is the better fighter.

Fraud called out WInky first, only to duck him. Thats just plain sad cowardice.

Thats why Fraud paid money out of his pocket to Goosen in order to duck Margarito.

There are serious doubts about whether Oscar can make 147. Regardless... Oscar has done absolutely NOTHING in 7 years at the weight to prove he deserves a shot.

And we all know about Hatton's struggles @ 147, and how it is not his natural weigh class.

How is he not the champ ... until he's stripped of the WBC and he's been beaten for his ring magazine championship ... he's still the champion ...

    how's he avoided the division?

the division is talent rich, but only on the assumption that the talented fighters have potential.

no one on his level has proven anything ...

if Floyd is the champ and hasn't proven anything by fighting the best, what makes the others any better?

I'm sure that Margarito's win over Golden Johnson and losing to Paul Williams makes him the front runner?

I'm sure that Shane Mosley's win over Collazo makes and loss to Cotto makes him the front runner?

I'm pretty sure that Collazo's loss to Mosley and Hatton make him the most viable threat?

or Clottey with spectacular wins over Gutierrez and Cruz, w/ a loss to Margarito makes him the front runner ...

    Berto?
    Quintana?
    Hlyshwayo?
    Judah?
    Cintron?
    Cotto?
    Williams?
    Bonsu?

What have these guys done? ... they have to build up their rep and they have to fight each other to see who's who ... once the dust settles then there would be fights made.

No one wants to see Floyd fight anyone of those guys besides Cotto.

No one has seen these guys fight on a consistant basis besides Cotto.

Floyd has been a champion since 98' ... why should he run and fight whoever us fans point to reguardless of what they've done.

Come on bigtime, you know you would much prefer seeing Floyd fighting Cotto than pointless rematches vs Oscar and Hatton.

1st of all, step back. You're making a ton of excuses for him. Realize that.

2nd, I'm not asking Floyd to do anything. But his actions do have repercussions - if he elects not to fight WWs, then he shouldn't be champ. It's simple and makes sense.

Not being the welterweight champion will not cost Floyd a single cent - he makes $ independent of whether he is the reigning champ or not. It just prevents the entire division from being bogged down by a champ who will not give anyone a shot.

These guys have to prove themselves ... just as he did ... he called those fighter out ... built himself up ... eventually got the fights ... and won.

He called out Gatti, Manfredo, and Genero Hernandez when he was up and coming in 97' ... he said he would beat them if only he got the chance. He fought Hernandez in 98' ... he fought Manfredy 98' and fought Gatti in 05' ... at the time they fought ... Gatti had more respect and Floyd said that Gatti had ducked him since 98' and when he got in the ring he proved that he was better.

He called out DLH and Mosley in 99' for a chance to move up in weight to lightweight for Shanes title and instead Mosley took a fight w/ Oscar in 00' ...

Floyd called out Oscar in 02' ... he said that he will fight him one day even though Oscar was campaigning at middleweight and it came true.

Floyd called out the fighters that were on top ... worked his way up and fought those guys and like he said he beat them. What makes these guys so special that they can't do the same thing?

He called out Winky Wright ... Winky knew that he couldn't make 154 at all and hadn't fought since he beat Shane ... at the time that he called him out Winky had already fought Tito and Soloman ... then he comes back with I can't make 154 anymore.

Shane waits till his career is on a downward spiral and he's looking for a nice payday before its all over to decide to fight PBF. It makes no sense.

Cotto will get his due ... they couldve hooked up in 05' ... he said that he would tap Cotto on the chin and finish him early ... if you don't believe that watch the Gatti fight over again. Team Cotto wanted no parts and since then they have been seen at a few Mayweather fights trying to break down his style.

People criticized him for not fighting Hatton when he was done at 140 because Hatton was the recognized champion ... don't get weight confused ... both guys are natural 140 pounders w/ Hatton having a wider frame. They hooked up at WW which was no problem because there was no advantage for either fighter at WW ... Floyd won by KO and he said that he would do that when he fought Gatti. He even called out Kostya Tszyu and Tszyu didn't reply.

This guy has paid his dues and needs a bit more respect than he gets ...

I just dont see him being afraid of a crude slugger like Margo. More likely is that the numbers didn't make sense given that not many people, besides a few dick heads on message boards, were that bothered about seeing the fight.

Floyd would TKO Margarito ... either on cuts or accumluation of punishment ... People think that Margarito is tall and long that he has an advantage -- it has nothing to do with his boxing ability and overall skill ... I keep telling you guys that he's nothing that Floyd hasn't seen before. He's fought tall, long guys and stopped them. The same goes for Cintron as well ... he would just get beat up.

There mid section is right there for the taking and Floyd would jab and straight right hand their stomach and chest ... he would also faint alot and follow through with fast head shots.

    Corrales 5'11
    Hernandez 5'11
    DLH 5'10

    He's fought pressure fighters in
    Castillo
    Hatton
    Corrales
    Chavez
    Balomir
    Hernandez
    DLH
    N'dou

these guys have to bring something else to the table ... what makes Cotto's style different from these guys? Not his physical attributes ... his boxing style, stance, the way the throws punches, his guard ...
you make the mistake in looking at a fighter for what they appear to be not what they are as a boxer, fighter, or brawler

and people were clamoring for a fight with Spinks or Baldy? Come on now.

The 8 mil AM offer was a one fight deal, Fraud chose to pay Goosen a cut of his next fight (DLH) in order to duck AM.

Hey I agree that AM is not technically brilliant but the dude never stops coming and even if he loses he dishes out some solid punishment (PW).

Fraud didnt have the courage to go through this, fine. But dont get pissed when boxing fans point this out.
