The "be patient" line is getting old. We heard that before the DLH fight AND the Hatton fight. There is certainly nothing wrong with wanting to see the best fight the best if they are going to claim they are indeed the best.

Jibber Jabber. What did hatton do to get a fight with Floyd? Hatton had hype, the fans, the pay per view victories in from of hundreds of thousands then called Floyd out. What does Cotto have that would warrant Mayweather calling him out. The P4P champ calling Cotto out who hasnt had a real great victory at welter either.

More nonsense. Mayweather called out Cotto earlier in his career. He wasnt ready. Now Arum dances around the issue, sayign Floyd doesnt want cotto lol. Then call him on it! WHy doesnt Arum put the offer on the table then?

:patsch Its pure nonsense that Floyd supposedly is supposed to chase Cotto and his illustrious record.

"Cotto would you like to fight floyd" Cotto- "talk to Arum" LMAFO. The bias on these forums is amazing.

Actually you moron he said he would fight Cotto after he got some more fights under his belt. Are you that eager for Floyd to destroy another one of your great joke hopes?

Your response had nothing to do with the context of my post. You said Cotto and his team should call out Mayweather. Whether or not you agree with their statements doesn't come into play here. What does come into play is that they clearly have made statements in the media that call Mayweather out and claim he is afraid to fight him.

Hatton, to my knowledge, had never been on PPV in the states before fighting Mayweather. So he had less PPV success that Cotto, who's last PPV did over 400k. And Hatton had less hype surrounding him than Cotto does now. Mostly because of the Collazo and Urango performances.

This doesn't equate to saying you "won't" fight someone or that they need to gain more exposue or prove more in the ring (Cotto is the #1 WW besides Mayweather and a top 10 P4P fighter, what else is there?). Furthermore, Cotto has since said he wanted to fight Mayweather AND that Mayweather changes the subject when his name comes up. I believe the more recent statements made by Cotto and Arum are more relevant than the quote you posted. Bias doesn't come into play.

Floyd wanted to fight him when Cotto had like 23 fights if I remember. He has more now then before. What happened?

Cotto also has PPV victories. And Mosley is an all-time great, was active unlike DLH, and at the least was a top five welterweight when Cotto beat him. Quintana is now the WBO champ, Cotto obliterated him in five rounds. He stopped Judah and made Urkal quit. His resume is probably the best at Welter.

Mayweather made noise like he wanted to fight Cotto when Cotto was a whopping 14-0. And Cotto has said he wanted to fight Floyd in recent interviews, among other things.

Fact is he is the best fighter in the world until proven otherwise. I want to see him fight Cotto as well and I wish he would get it over with so I feel where you are coming from. You say people were calling for it before his last 2 fights but I do remember people saying stuff like Oscar will beat him and so on and so forth with Hatton as well. The demand for the fight didn't really ramp up until he beat Hatton so I don't think its getting to old. You just must hear it alot. It will happen but just because it's not happening now don't mean it won't happen eventually.

I will put it like this,

Cotto is still getting better with every fight and I don't even think the kid is in his prime yet. By the time he fights Floyd he will be better and have a better chance at doing it as well and if he so happens to pull it off then all of you can jump for joy then maybe we can start back talking about the upcoming fights that have been announced like we use to.

    There happy ending for all!

They are dodging statements. Saying "Floyd doesnt want Cotto" is not calling him out, its dodging the essential question, do you want to offer floyd a deal to fight him. Are you calling Floyd out. And the answer is no! Stop dodging my assertions. Should Floyd, 6 time world champ 5 weight classes, chase Cotto? Should Floyd have to call Cotto out? Cotto doesnt want Floyd like you think he does, if he did, he wouldnty be setting up fights with ****ing Gomez and Margarito. Arum doesnt want his baby hurt. If I wanted the number 1 spot I'd be campiagning to fight Floyd all year long. Not having to be drilled every interview about a possible matchup. This makes me feel like Cotto or more likely Arum doesnt want it.

Are you serious? Hatton was ranked top 5 pound for pound and after he knocked out Castillo everyone forgot his struggles against Collazo. Cotto is an emotionless robot, even Puerto Ricans have a hard time getting behind him. He certainly isnt Tito. :nono

Hatton was ranked 7th (behind Mayweather, Pacquiao, JM Marquez, Hopkins, Calzaghe, and Vazquez)

Dodging your assertions? You have made none. You asked me to answer a question that has no relevance in the conversation we are having because I have never said Mayweather should call out Cotto. You keep asking, and I am ignoring it because it doesn't mean anything here.

Hatton has never been ranked top 5 P4P. Not on any lists that we here on ESB call credible. Top 10 yes, but not top 5. No one forgot his struggles against Collazo, since it was actually pointed out alot that Castillo was past it. Some complained that he was fighting Hatton instead of Cotto because Hatton was too small and didn't look good at 147. Cotto is also top 10 P4P and obviously judging from all the clamor in the boxing magazines and here in these forums, the fans seem to be interested. You stated that Hatton had the PPV victories to back up a fight with Mayweather when as far as I know, he had none. Cotto does, at least two. The hype for this fight is bigger than for that fight.

Lastly, Cotto is not dodging the essential question. He has already said he wants the fight. And he has said that Mayweather won't even talk about fighting him. Those are fighting words IMO. I don't understand, are you looking for some specific phrase that Cotto needs to say? He said he wants to fight him....

I have burned alot of time with your moronic ass. And I said that I wouldnt do it anymore. But here goes another few second wasted on you.

Are you that stupid to say that nothing in the past matters?? So it your best homeboy banged your ole lady at the start of your relationship you should be ok with that a year later. Everything about the past matters. If arum wasnt willing to make a fight with Cotto and Floyd when they were both at Top rank, why do you think that he would be willing to make it NOW.

And another point that your missing is that it ARUM that is unwilling to work with floyd, not the other way around...Keep in mind it wasnt until the Oscar fight that Floyd left..Several Years after Arum was telling anyone that would listen that floyd was a brat and Chico was going to knock him out.

THOSE are fighting words. As I said you keep ignoring my assertion that Cotto's words are simply dancing around the issue. Just because he says " I will fight Floyd" isnt saying "I want Floyd now" get it yet? This isnt Cotto chasing Mayweather, Cotto goign out of his way to put a deal on the table and calling Floyd out in front of everyone like Hatton and Margarito. As I said, Floyd doesnt need Cotto, Cotto needs Floyd.

Barring Hattons ppv and ranking, are you seriously asserting Cotto has the drawing power Hatton has to this day not even counting his drawing power pre defeat? What were the Mosley Cotto fight numbers? Not to big I suspect?

I watch alot of basketball, and Im a life long Lakers fans. But I never recall two GM's getting together to set up games...I cant believe how lame you and Lance can be on this subject. Moreso lance cuz I actually respect and like him. dont know you that well.

The NBA sets that up, and maybe if we had a governing body in boxing we wouldnt have this kinds of talks.
