Mayweather retired for the first time at the end of 07, Margarito and Williams both got there asses kicked that same year, Cintron get the **** outta here lol none of those guys are elite, top fighters, or great by any stretch.

Cotto the guy who said he wasn't ready and that neither him, his trainer, or his promoter ever tried to fight Mayweather.
Mosley the guy who ducked for 10 years then said he had a toothache.
Pacquiao the guy scared of needles, or has a cut that won't heal.

It's clear that he faked the retirement to duck all these fighters and only came back after they had fought and washed each other up

It's a big difference between facts and opinions it's an opinion that he ducked these guys, but it's a fact that Cotto, Mosley and Pacquiao all ducked out of a Mayweather fight.

It's an opinion that Mayweather was scared of a Margarito or a Williams, but what is a fact is that before he retired Mayweather fought the last two Undisputed WW Champs, Undisputed JWW Champ and the #1 JMW Champ all of which are more accomplished than Paul & Tony.
Also a fact that Mayweather told Margarito keep winning and we gon fight and Margarito got his ass kicked in his very next fight.

I know, but I also know he's a Pac fan and he said Mosley and Margarito "washed each other up" in 2008. Kind of counter-productive to his "mission" lol

 

He retired to get out of his rematch clause with Oscar. That's the only way he could've gotten out of it.
