by they way baldomir was ranked #1 at 147 when floyd beat him, judah was at #2..

and DLH was ranked #1 at 154 when floyd beat him..

all those fights were in the last 6 years.. owned again..

pbf just can't have the p4p #1 handed back to him on a silver platter when he didn't have a single fight the whole year (inactive) while pac had a great year that will most probably win him another consensus fighter of the year award.

When Floyd fought Baldomir, Baldomir was the #1 ranked fighter at 147 and WBC champ... Judah was the #2 ranked fighter at 147. Its not like these rankings are my opinion, these are facts and actual rankings from teh World Boxing Council...

When Floyd fought Oscar De La Hoya, DLH was the number 1 ranked fighter at 154 and WBC champ.. ( he was ranked higher than Santos by the way). Once again these are facts and actual rankings.. not something I just made up..

and I never claimed to not know what a "top dog" is or isn't.. all I said is that you are the only one that uses the term in all of boxing..

 

yeah your right. he would have to eat Pacquaio to get it back. really when they fight, best fighter of our era is on the line and p4p so it would be nuts!! cant wait.

 

Beating Pac doesnt get him the p4p status back. It isnt a title that can be won and lost, its a make beleive title.

If Mayweather comes out of retirement and beat Margo then he can arguably be above Pac, but even then I imagine many would keep him at no.2.

 

I think he should only be ranked after his first comeback fight.

Unless Calzaghe retires, and then they put Floyd in as his replacment at #3.

There is no way he should go in at the top though, IMO.

 

no the only reason pac got the title is because mayweather retired.. noone considered him the best fighter in the world.. they considered him the best active fighter in the world. Floyd comes back he gets his title back..

Its not really a "title". Completely subjective, if someone wanted Marquez as their number 1 for example, it would be perfectly exceptable.

 

I dont think he retains it if he comes back. He was moved to #1 because he beat Oscar I believe so...Manny beat Oscar and more convincing, although Mayweather did beat a much better version of ODL he has been inactive for a year now.

 

Floyd beat a less weight drained version.

 

Yup like I said he beat a much better version of ODL but has been inactive for a year while Pac and JMM have increased their stature in the past two fights imo.
