Can't take him over Whitaker. Honestly, it's not even that close, IMO.

1936-1950 undefeated. 1 defeat in 17 years. The one defeat he avenged by KOing the man in 1 round. I mean imagine if Wlad was still heavyweight champ in 2020. That would be the equivalent of Joe Louis reign.

Brown Bomber baby. The greatest. :yep

Ali lost to Norton twice, should have got the decision in atleast one of the 2 rematches. Patterson was 137 years old. If Eddie Futch doesnt stop the fight, Ali quits and Frazier has 2 wins over him. :deal

I dont care if Louis was undefeated for 20 years, his accomplishment is not better then Ali. Ali has fought and beaten far better fighters then Louis. Would Louis been undefeated if he fought Frazier, Foreman, Patterson, Liston, Norton?

    Read my post above.

First of all its about era's. Im pretty sure that Floyd Mayweather would have beaten Sandy Sandler decisively doesnt make him better then Willie Pep.

Sonny Liston was 35 years old. If people werent so blind about their racism, and hatred of Muhammad Ali they would have seen that Ali held every single advantage over Liston. He was faster, bigger, longer and had what 12 years youth advantage?

In modern times we would have seen it as the younger fighter simple dethroning the aging fighter.

ali lost to Norton twice. im sorry. He got some real gifts in that trilogy. And Norton was maybe the 5th or 6th best fighter of that era.

Joe Louis reigned for nearly 2 decades. Never to be duplicated. In an era where boxing was the most popular sport in the world. The names on his resume are well known, no need to list them.

One of the most idiotic things I've ever had the displeasure of reading on here. You have zero idea what the **** you're talking about. Read up and learn. Mayweather isn't close to being one of the best ever any way you look at it. Yes, even in the H2H/ability department and especially not in the resume/accomplishments one.

Ali was begging his corner to stop the fight, Frazier was begging his corner to keep fighting.

Who really won? Ali was begging for forgiveness in the locker room, Frazier was still like "**** that dude"

Frazier made Ali respect him because he whooped his ass. Frazier didnt give a **** about Ali till he died. :deal

Floyd cannot call himself the greatest defensive fighter ever until he fights a great offensive fighter.

Put him in with a Felix Trinidad/Vernon Forrest type at 147 and lets see how good his defence is.
