How could it count for nothing when it was his 3rd lineal title?

Just because you think that Baldomir was a bum doesn't take away from the fact that he was the lineal universally recognized undisputed champion.

By the way you're doing a great job showing your hate and your lack of knowledge in boxing ... keep up the good work ... a great fighter isn't great untill he has haters like you stalking his every move.

    Some factors:

    Baldomir was 162 lbs.

    Mayweather hurt his hand.

Boring fight, but effective style the one used by Mayweather.

Mayweather is a great fighter. :happy

Mayweather put forth the ultimate mastery of the sweet science in the Baldomir bout. I was throughly impressed with his performance that night.

What did people want Mayweather to do in that fight. He's was never going to hurt Baldomir. So, he boxed his way to a very comfortable victory. Unfortunately boxers like Mayweather often get criticized for being so skillful.

He sucked because he didn't get hit? ... he had a few rounds where Baldomir didn't land a punch?

If thats what you call a poor performance, I guess it is ...

Floyd's a great boxer, but I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. You'll actually start to like him better as a fighter if you accept the fact that he's totally full of ****.

I don't get the criticism. Do you expect him to completely change his style and risk getting hurt against the bigger guy just to please you? He came in with his style and completely outboxed/outclassed the guy. PBF has the luxury of just boxing because he's better than anyone else. Guys who brawl do so because they don't have the talent to just box.

It certainly isn't a fight that I'd want to watch again. Mayweather won via a complete shutout on the cards but the fight hardly sent the pulse racing. Am I tough on Mayweather - for sure I am. I think the guy has no class and I'm certainly no fan. I respect his ability but that's as far as it goes.
