Mayweather should be boycotted

    I guess it's as good a time as any to start a new Mayweather-Pacquiao thread. If you've
    looked around this forum at all for the past 6 months, you've probably read hundreds of these
    at least, so I apologize if this seems redundant.

    My thoughts on the situation are basically what any real fan's are - the sport is not the
    Kingdom of Floyd Mayweather nor Manny Pacquiao. No, it is the Kingdom of Boxing and
    I - for one - would be honored to be a part of it. Apparently that's not enough for these two. If there
    was any justice in the world, obviously this fight would be signed. Hell, it may have already happened. But we
    finally seem to be getting to the point where things appear to be moving forward.
    There only seems to be one problem - Floyd Mayweather's giant, flapping vagina. He obviously lacks the courage
    to get in the ring with a prime, dangerous fighter. It's painfully obvious at this point. He's perfectly content to
    sit on his padded undefeated record and continue to fight shot, 39 year olds and bloated lightweights and put another 0
    on the end of his bank account.

    My initial feeling was that HBO should just boycott Mayweather if he fights anybody else. Pull him down off his imaginary
    throne and back into the real world. Somebody needs to remind him that he's not bigger than boxing
    as a whole and that his actions are actually hurting the entire sport. This is, quite possibly,
    THE only fight people want to see right now. I mean what happened to the good days, even recently, when guys like
    Prince Naseem, Roy Jones, Oscar de la Hoya, etc would put on exciting shows for everyone and just fight the best fights available.
    Of all my years watching this sport, I've never been so frustrated about a fight that isn't even signed yet. I can scarcely
    bel ieve it's even been allowed to get to this point. Something needs to happen, and soon, to remove this
    air of superiority from the arrogant Mayweather family and make this fight happen!

    The best thing is to let floyd fight someone without a big name and watch his PPV numbers plummet. He won't draw with martinez or williams, they're not big enough names.

    IF Floyd fights Martinez, he deserves a statue of himself on the Las vegas strips. That's a much tougher fight than pacman.

    If the Pac/Mayweather fight falls through due to Mayweather wanting more than 50/50, I will boycott him and encourage others to follow suit.

    HBO will wait on Myweather until Hell freezes over and will NEVER even think about a phoney boycott because Mayweather, not pacman will bring in the fans and money.
    Fights don't always happen exactly when spectators believe they should, and they shouldn't.
    Cool your heels, get your panties out of a bunch and wait until the damn thing comes together. Don't be in such a hurray to see Manny get handled like Mosley did. Let him have a few more months believing he knows something about boxing before Floyd shows him otherwise.

    That's Floyd I'm afraid, yet somehow (probably because he is undefeated) he has a string of ball sucking fans who just want to support a winning fighter and defend him at all costs. Idiots

    Here is what would happen with a boycott:

    HBO exec: Floyd unless you fight Manny and drop the USADA testing, we will boycott you.

    Mayweather: Come again, I don't think I heard you.

    HBO: Floyd we are serious, unless you fight Pacquiao we are boycotting you.

    FMJ: Do you want to call Showtime or should I? I think I could get them to rename the station Mayweather-time.

    HBO: uh... Now Floyd we were just kidding. Demand what ever you want from Pacquiao, in fact I will name my first born after you.

    Yeah, that is how the Boycott would go down.

    It's the people that buy the PPVs and generate the majority of the dosh. If people won't buy it, HBO will be less interested (although they will still buy it, even if half of his usual customers refuse to buy it, it's still a big draw)

    You are a moron to start this thread when Arum has said in the press that he is looking for Pac to fight Margarito, Cotto, or JMM. Right after FMJ fought SSM too? You are a clown.
