He fights guys coming off monster wins and impressive performances.

Mosley coming off Margs slaughter (Mosley ranked #3 PFP on fight night - most people thought it was an even fight)

DLH at 154 coming off win versus Mayorga and a competitive fight with BHop. Also occurs at 154 with Oscar's choice of ring size / Floyd's gloves.

Ortiz off FOTY candidate / impressive rout of Berto.

Undefeated Hatton after KO of Castillo.

***Floyd was the favorite going into all of these fights. It isn't until after the fights that observers begin to discredit Floyd's opposition selection. Floyd makes people look average and observers find a reason to discredit the average opposition.***

He has not picked the biggest fights available since Hatton, right?

Doing very, very well is not the same.

Alvarez hasn't beat anyone in the top ten he could start their.Mayweather has won titles at 5 weights spanning 24 pounds, beat a hall of famer in his 18th pro fight dude takes a risk everytime he fights. You don't play boxing.
As far taking fights he can't win, their ain't nobody 147 down he hasn't Ghent favored to beat that's why he fought at 154 twice in the first place. Canelo does have a shot at beating him if he isn't at least what he was against cotto....Camelot is protected by the time they fight may will be 40....smh

I doubt he wants to finish 46-0 and have jackasses associate him with Joe Calzaghe. So, 2 or 4 more fights to finish 45-0 or 47-0 (if we're talking about what looks nice on paper)...

Alvarez, Trout, Bradley, Guerrero is the current order of how I would value a decisive win over each of them. Also, over the course of the next year or two fights with Golden Boy junior welter fighters such as Garcia, Matthysse, or Khan could potentially become intriguing.

Rhodes was a top 10 154. RING overrated him at #4, but still, he was top ten caliber. And Cintron was only one or two fights removed from being the #1 at 154.

Great post...that's why he feels he can't win....hecklers wanna see him loose and are butt hurt he doesn't....a fighter doesn't become the favorite for nothing, his track record and skills are why dude has been a champ over a decade in a 16 year career. That's impressive and almost half of his fights are title fights

I too would like to see Canelo beat someone like Trout or Cotto before fighting Mayweather. A friend told me he thinks Canelo will fight Angulo on the May 4th card. Thats a decent opponent and great fight.

that would be a good list, but one Pacman fight would have been much more than 3 of those fights. And Floyd will not fight Bradley, and I doubt he will fight Canelo.

    ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1... Floyd fought a clean PED's free Mosely, Margarito faced an obviously juiced to the gills Mosely. This was proven when Mosely gassed inside 3 rounds against Floyd but fought like the incredible hulk against Margarito

2....DLH was **** against Mayorga & BHop knocked his ass OUT!!!!!!!!
Floyd was LUCKY to get the very close win over Oscar

3... How can you call the cowardly cold cocking of Ortiz a win????
Shows what a punk Floyd is

4...It took a tag team of Floyd & Joe Cortez to beat Hatton that was one of the most blatantly biased refereeing display I have ever seen

5... Floyd never fights outside of Vegas his hometown where he knows he'll get every advantage

When you add all that up Floyd isnt so great is he???I wish he'd get out of boxing & let the real fighters make the $$$$$$$$$
