-Fighting Cotto at his Weight, where he is a champ.

-Not Draining Cotto to benefit himself like Count Pacula, or Catchweight King..

-Cotto has learned from Past mistakes and is now a better fighter, mentally aswell after defeating one of the "2" men that have cheated him.

-Past mistakes also include, bad trainer situations which have now been correceted.

-Cotto on a great winning streak showing great skills and ability to re adapt and take control at higher weight and not coming off subpar performances against Clottey, and Margo.

Seems to me that Mayweather should be getting more credit then the Version that PAC beat :goodCotto was taken advantage of and cheated, he is no longer letting himself get raped for other person's advantages, and good on him :deal

Should be a great fight, and the size difference and cotto being acclimated at a higher weight should give him a great advantage, Props TO mayweather :good The CATCHweight king would never have the balls to face cotto at 154...

a younger fighter, fighting 1 pound below his last two weigh in weights ... nah, that's not real draining. Draining is fighting a lightheavyweight titleholder at 165:deal srl

on top of that Cotto now has CONFIDENCE. he was coming off a loss to Margo and a close fight with Clottey. since then hes been winning and I think that avenged loss against Margo did alot for his confidence. plus he has a better trainer

Hell yeah Maywether gets full credit for fighting Cotto at his comfortable weight. This a real challenge, He's fighting Elite competition here.

    pac beat a better version.

floyd will struggle to beat pac as clearly but he'll still get massive credit for the significance of being the beating the top lmw in the world.

plus the fight with canelo will be a natural step for him to take.

You could give Floyd more credit. Alot of people give Manny more credit for beating Hatton at 140. Floyd beat Hatton at 147. The same thing can apply hear. Floyd beat Cotto at a comfortable weight when he was ranked number 1 at 154.

Cotto has a real trainer this time around. I also think Miguel figured his power would be too much for Pac.

Yes he should. As much as I hate this farce of a fight and would have much preffered Martinez at 154, floyd should get more credit. The cotto, manny fought was at a ridiculous 145 catchweight and fresh off his destruction to margo. Cotto has now racked up a few wins and exercised his demons and is fighting at his natural weight. I hope cotto isnt stingy and hires emmanuel steward..
Floyd is a smart businessman. I bet he offered upfront money of 10 million dollars to Cotto whilst floyd keeps ppv revenue and all da other ****. He also saw saw Cotto producing great PPV numbers against Margo so its a viable fight to sell. Martinez is far less recognised=far more risk, little reward..
