Personally, I'm happy he's done persuing a fight with Pacman. While it may be a big $$$ fight, in the long term it will do NOTHING for boxing or his legacy. People will always see it as him fighting and/or beating a small guy. Mosley has now shifted his attention to the group of fighters that matter.. The top guys in his division at 147. This is why I admire and respect a guy like Mosley. Win or lose he has fought and continues to fight the best of his era. If only Fraud Mayweather would imitate some of that, people would have more respect for him. I SALUTE YOU SHANE MOSLEY!! :thumbsup
Well of course Mosely doesn't get a fight with Pacquiao, he would beat the snot out of the over rated southpaw......Roach knows that. So he is not going to let him fight Mosely. Today is Pacquiao's lucky day.......
What the TS is saying is, Mosley is willing to take risks, and get in the ring with dangerous opponents, while Floyd prefers to play it safe, and rob the fans by taking low risk/high reward fights against guys who he knows he can/will beat. Floyd has god given talent. This is something that cant be denied. Its his lack of cojones to get in the ring with credible threats that harms his reputation, and will eventually put ? on his legacy if he continues to follow this same path.
You're right, it does. What i'm talking about is, when Floyd decides to retire FOR GOOD, and he hasnt done anything to prove himself against the actual best, instead of merely looking for payday fights that require little to no risk to his oh so precious 0, then that question mark will forever remain above him. He can change that right now by fighting the likes of Pac, Cotto, Shane, Williams. Win or lose, the fans will show much more respect for him just for stepping up to the plate. Floyd has nobody to blame but himself for all the criticism he recieves. On top of that, you cant opt to play the "villian/bad guy", then complain when u recieve hate from the boxing world.
You guys are ****ing idiots. Mosley would offer up his first born to get a fight with Pacquio but Arum isn't letting that happen. But you deluded *******s would like to think Shane is just being Noble and going after bigger men. Let me spell this **** out for you. All these dudes are just chasing checks none of them give a **** about any of this legacy bull**** nearly as much as any of you would like to think they do, no matter how bad you'd like to paint them as "good guys" and "bad guys". This **** is just business and Shane couldn't get his meal ticket.
Hum...sorry TS but you are way off the mark if you think Mosley DECIDED not to fight Pacquiao because it would add nothing to his legacy or because Pacman is too small... Now read that slowly: HE CAN'T GET THE FIGHT. Get it? Funny how nuthuggers like to twist things. By the way, i absolutely love Shane Mosley. But that thread is bull****.
agreed with you preciseI247 if pacman called mosley today he would jump to get that fight, as I read the other posts they are acting like pacman decided to fight shane and shane said no man you took to long lol- his only option was to fight the other ww's if he wants to fight. also i know the haters will hate regardless but it kills me to read how floyd only fights smaller guys- out of 39 fights i remember 3 where floyd was the bigger guy in size people act like hatton was his first freakin fight lol
Floyd's criticism comes post 140/147, but moreso 147. Up until 135, Floyd faced top comp, and should not be criticised for anything. He actually proved himself the way a real fighter should. Once he got a taste of fame, he decided to put it into cruise control, and felt as if he didnt have to take risky fights anymore. He was more concerned with the fame and riches that came along with being pfp#1, and that's fine, but stop with all the talk about how you're the best to ever lace them up. You cant say that you're the best pfp fighter in the world, then in the next breath say that you dont fight for bragging right or fight to prove who's the best.
What would be wrong w/Mosley fighting Pac? Pac is fresh off of destroying two huge names who were supposed to be the "bigger, stronger" men...he's, obviously, proven he's a legit 140-pounder who enters the ring at 150+, and Shane is a natural 147-lb'r who enters the ring not much heavier. Pac is younger, has less wear-and-tear, and is #1 P4P. Now, I'm not saying he would beat Mosley, but in no way would it be a mismatch, at least on paper.
hmmm.. sorry Tito if you have a hard time understanding. When did I say this fight wasn't about $$$ or that it was Mosley who "decided" not to fight Pacman? Funny how idiots like you like to twist **** that's clearly written.:deal
I know, but in the long term, people would accuse Mosley of beating a small guy who didn't belong at WW.
