They will have to use USADA. This organization was tainted when it won't release Morales' and allegedly Floyd's positive results. They should go for VADA which actually catch and release results. But floyd would not agree to this.

I think most fans of Floyd don't care if it happens in February, May, September, or December as long as it would happen (unless they have a wedding or extended vacation lined up in advance)...

It is just AWFULLY REVEALING for Bob Arum to have said the things he has said. Bob Arum literally won't let Pacquiao fight Mayweather in May. And that is from his own mouth and was repeated by him multiple times... Why, Arum? What possible reason that would be worth fans remotely supporting could there be for not watching Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on May 2nd, 2015???

Exactly !! There a reason Floyd wants this date.. One its the second biggest Drinking holiday next St patrick, two Boxing is a big Sport among Mexican fan next to soccer./

When combine Boxing, Mexican Fans, and the Second biggest drinking Holiday, You get a Huger then Normal gate and Drinks..

Point = Floyd wanting to make the A side of his last fight, get a Percentage of the Gate and Drinks sold!!

Thats why he wants that date, and the Reason Arum doesn't, because Arum knows he will not get that money, if Floyd gets that Date !!

All I'm saying is give most of the demands for Mayweather and what Mayweather can do is atleast give Team Pacquiao a say for the date of the fight.

We all know Mayweather will get the higher purse, venue etc. I was just giving an example.

The others are probably in September if this is true right? There it is then.. They should fight in 8 months...

I'm not sure you realize that Pacquiao used a custom made joint USADA-NSAC testing procedure for the Bradley rematch.

    So, what else?

He's been fighting on that date for several years now.

Even though his fights with maidana didn't crack 1 million buys, he's still CLEARLY the biggest PPV star, and tbh it's not even really close right now as he's averaging around 3 times more in PPV draws compared to any other PPV fighters.

A fight with pacman would easily break all PPV records and ticket sales at the gate. It'll be the biggest fight since Hagler- Leonard.

Why should Floyd appease bob arum just so arum can maximize profit on 2 of his fighters (Cotto and pacman.) Floyd is the A side and doesn't owe arum any favors whatsoever.

I don't care. VADA actually caught and released results. If floyd still insist on extra testing, VADA is the way to go.

no. Only 2 were in September. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you'll get what this means.

Im sure may who admittidly is pig headed would be half reasonable with regards to the date if pac had political duties or an impending prison sentence. But there is legit no reason why may should be changed

He has always fought may in december before maidana 1 floyd discussed his career and stated he had 3 fights left and went onto say hed.fight may and finish up his career in sept

Like i said id assume floyd would be semi reasonable if arum had a legit reason but he himself knows he dont thats why he paniced and bought up mexican holidays and there fans when we can all see through that

Id agree to this. But i never heard why USADA refused to release the results? I mean they are medical tests so i dnt feel they are obligated to release them to the public but atleast the commisions who are in charge of overseeing and sanctioning bouts and also punishing those who break the rules

30% of the 10 highest grossing PPV's happened in 1 of 12 months.

Thank you for proving my point that a super fight in May maximizes revenue. Thank you for stressing that it is a fact as well.

But Pacquiao prefers USADA over VADA as well. So neither of the two parties would want VADA. Both prefer USADA. So your point is just irrelevant and actually wrong beyond anything other than what YOU personally wish would happen.

2013-09-14 was a great date with Floyd vs Canelo and Garcia vs Matthysse on the same night. 2015-05-02 can be another great date with Floyd vs Pac and Cotto vs Canelo. Even people who only watch boxing when there's a heavyweight title fight will watch it too. It should happen like this and nothing else, for the sake of the sport.

    Ideally, absolutely agree.

But boxing is a business. It is the industry these men work in and provide for their lifestyle and their families, not merely a sport that could use a popularity boost.

There wouldn't be a single boxer out there fighting pro and looking to live up to fans' expectations if it were just volunteer work.
