Every pro sportsman makes a living out of the sport they are engaged in, not only boxers. Imagine what tennis would be like if Federer never played Nadal, or soccer with Brazil never playing Germany, or NBA with conference champions not facing each other in an NBA final. Think of any sport, it's the same. People watch sports for the thrills and competition, not for the business. These are sports and then business, not the other way around. Boxing is bound to lose further popularity and eventually die if they don't find a solution to this ducking and cherry picking nonsense.

 

May 2nd is Mayweathers date. All his Mexican fans will be dissapointed if he does not fight on that date. Cinco de Mayweather.

Times change. The US economy isn't what it use to be and is still on the mend. Boxing doesn't have a union. There are no pensions or 401K's. After a boxer has had his last fight it's on him to earn what money he can from there on out. It's easy for us to say screw the money, just fight. But we really don't have the right to say that. We aren't the ones putting are lives on the line for others enjoyment.
