What next? Mayweather should fight Klitschko? Seriously, this is a silly fantasy match-up. Even when Mayweather beats GGG, he won't get props because his critics will just say he beat a weight-drained fighter, just like with the Canelo fight.

Mayweather doesn't care about what bogeyman his critics want him to fight next. He said he'll end his career fighting whoever he wants to fight.

 

People seem to forget that Mayweather isn't a natural welterweight. The guy's prime weight was 130-135 ffs. Obviously he's grown into the weight but he still weighs in at 153 for welterweight fights, and you guys want him to go up to 154 to fight guys that enter the ring at 170?

If he thinks he's TBE he will take on Golovkin at 160, he'll be competitive which I'd place higher than having a zero even if he gets KTFO, just taking the fight would be worth massive merit. There's nothing left to challenge him except the young hungry lions who he's already beaten his share of as an old timer and Canelo and Pacman barely even made him break a sweat.

His opponents usually outweigh him by 15-20 pounds and Cotto went up for a no knees Martinez. I would've loved Mayweather vs Martinez a few years ago, that would've done even more for his legacy, fighting Cotto again would be reasonable but the belt isn't as valuable with his name on.
