The only reason anyone would watch one of his fights is to see him get KTFO! I am a fan of the man's mad skills but I have long since worn thin of his mouth and poor acting. The man is either crazy or stupid. Money Mayweather WTF is that? Take up acting, take lessons, join the theater. Just don't waste our time boxing.

Yer I don't mind watching him fight if it's an ok fight. Something like the Judah fight is good. DLH/Baldomir fights are just crap. I'd never pay to see him fight though. The guy is a joke, as you say. Just throwing money around and acting as though 'he is from da ghetto' when he is wearing a waistcoat and a rolex. It's just cras and apart from a few simple minded people - I don't think it actually impresses anyone, just makes them slighty curious and wanting him to loose.

If he won't fight good competition, then he should stay retired.

i have never been a big floyd fan, but he does bring fan-fare and atleast an "aura" of excitement when he does fight.....since he has been away from the game, I have grown fond of him as a boxer....We need him at the moment IMO....

He needs the money so he will fight a great boxer at times he is untoachable and there are some brilliant fights out there. Cotto , Pacman and Marquez are all there for him to fight in the next 2 years he will prove he is the best there is by beating all 3.

If you're a fan of this sport-you want to watch Floydd. His good for boxing. Whether you like him or not, his a complete fighter-and is the most complete fighter now. People allude to his attitude, but believe me it's more or less a marketing $$$ ploy.

If he won't fight at his own weight class (147) . . . then yes.

Just like what I was saying on DLH before . . . if he won't fight 154 lbers . . . he should retire and he did.

I would agree that Mayweather should stay retired if he's just going to dick around. Mayweathers skills put him on a different level. I'd want to see him use those skills in real challenges, not in fights with carefully chosen opponents. While Paul Williams may not be on a pound for pound level with Marquez, I'd rather see Money vs. The Punisher, because it would be a more interesting fight, in my humble opinion.
But if Floyd is just going to be another Roy Jones, and do nothing but blab and cherry pick, I'd say, yeah stay retired.

he never "retired", it was more like an extended vacation. the guy's been fighting year in, year out, since 20(?). i can understand the need for wanting at least a year off. he also could'nt go as long as he did not fighting any of the top welter weights, without people asking questions.
