From this guy, for how to get people to come to his matches --

    [YT]pfUFYtXNN0A[/YT]

Mayweather is, of course, far more skilled and accomplished, but I'm talking about promoting himself -- he's the P4P 1 and he's not a household name. The guy above doesn't even come from America, and he's most likely better known there, even though he's retired.

That was a DLH fight not a Mayweather fight. PBF has never even cracked 500k...

I would say Mab is greater, too. Not in terms of raw talent, but definitely so in terms of skill and accomplishments. Mab rocks, sad to see that he and Morales are now far past their destructive best.

Oh, and this isn't a Mayweather hate thread -- Mayweather is my favourite active fighter. I just think it's strange how little known he is considering his skills; it's true that the DLH fight definitely boosted his popularity a hell of a lot more though.

Are u serious, I know many of people who don't know him. Mayweather is a house hold name, but not like DLH, Roy Jones, or Tyson, but he is well known.

Bleh, I'd rather he just does what works and not change his personality, then got rocked when he loses focus.

That's the common sense answer. Besides, what he does is already out there. The man came off as a complete ass in the buildup for his last PPV fight with DLH, and it was STILL the most successful PPV ever in terms of cash.

For those pointing out that it was a DLH PPV, not a Mayweather PPV...um, last I checked, all of DLH's PPVs up to that point also included DLH and couldn't do that number. Maybe, just maybe, the other opponent, albeit just slightly, may deserve the tiniest liliputian amount of credit for his oh so small contribution to that one? Ya think? Jeeze.

Hell yeah.. Everybody was talking about Floyd after the 24/7 ****. I mean that was girls regular folk that dont even watch boxing. The disorderly mayweathers brung in about 1/4 of the viewers. ODH never ever did that much and that is with mega fights with tito and the super hyped mayorga fight which had all kinds of promotion angles. Nobody is a better villian then mayorga and he dont even speak english.

Hamed sure had a hell of a good time in the ring whenever he fought(aside from Barrera). I can't remember anyone who had so much fun while fighting. Unfortunately after getting defeated badly by Barrera he seemed to lose that ability to have fun. His fight after Barrera against Calvo showed that he just wasn't the same guy.

I think the topic creator basically meant, if Mayweather did some of the things that Hamed did, ON TOP of what he does now, he would be a bit bigger an attraction. People would hate him even more, but at least he would be slightly more entertaining.

If floyd clowned around in the ring, he would be assassinated by a die hard hater. Floyd haters hate him with passion. They post a deragatory floyd article every single day. NO FIGHTER GETS THAT KIND OF LOVE. lol

 True. I kind of wish he did though. Like when Toney stuck his tongue out at Holyfield, then effortlessly dodged Evander's next shot. Mayweather can definately get away with that type of thing, and it would be funny as hell to watch everyone's hate towards him swell up to as yet unseen levels :rofl.

Exactly. I bought that PPV solely to watch the best, Floyd, go to work. Acting like the entire PPV numbers are because of Oscar is a joke.
