I've seen Mayweather do some mild clowning I think -- like beckoning for Judah to hit him on the chin in the final round of their fight, or sometimes talking to the commentators while in the middle of fighting. Mostly though, he does play it safe, and I guess that's part of the reason why he's so good. His chin seems sturdy enough from the few times I've seen him hit flush, but there's always the risk of catching that perfect punch, and he's too smart to give an opening for that.
America doesn't even know boxing nor follow it. It just isn't main stream here so I don't even know why we would even care if "americans know so and so fighter" Honestly who cares..This is like soccer its huge across the globe but it doesn't mean **** here in the states but the world doesn't give a damn about the United States opinion about a sport. I mean the best match ups in boxing are basically foreign fighters or have foreign decent. IDK I just completely ignore the whole "boxing not main stream" bull****. It would be nice if America supported their American fighters because the greats do come out of America btu there just isn't any passion to support. When you got Cotto selling out MSG and Hatton bringing over his Brits over seas to sell out arenas...and then Floyd doesn't sell out **** out here, America just doesn't get routy for their boxers.
Mayweather doesn't have anywhere near the casual fan friendly style that Cotto does..so thats not much of a surprise.
Mayweather doesn't play the heel role as well as Hamed. Hamed was great at being "the guy you loved to hate".
I think that would have been a great fight, not sure that Pac would have beat Hamed. Pac's chin is abit more questionable, having been stopped several times. Hamed I think was faster then pac which believe it or not was the major advantage that he held over Morelas and Berrera.
i enjoyed the video great to watch he had explosive power in both hands and was extremely arrogant who doesnt want to watch a fighter with that package. I think this post was about if Floyd conducted himself in this manner he would be a far bigger name in the states and i have no doubt he would be
Not sure about that-Barrera was Hameds worst nightmare- very technical pressure fighter- Hamed got his that night!! Styles make fights and Pac's chin is not as good as MABs; I think Hamed would have got to Pac. Both Pac and Hamed have offensive styles which don't rely much on defence. Would have been a great fight!!
damn, I loved watching Hamed, very exciting. A couple sidenotes, that clip where hes breakdancing in the ring, they actually ended that round a minute early---it was that embarassing. Another, I agree with you in that Mayweather shouldnt give a **** who likes him, like Hamed. Hamed was entertaining as hell, the showboating, the entrances, the unorthodox fighting style, and he wasnt afraid to get him. Be the bad guy, who cares?
Hamed when fighting was as big a name in boxing (outside of DLH and Tyson and Ali) as there could be. Mostly because everyone hated his guts...
ANY fighter that came straight at Hamed gets knocked out cold, unless you have Wayne McColough's chin. Pac wouldve caught huge punches coming in and lights out. Barrera won with a high gaurd and counterpunching, not brawling like he did with Morales...has anyone ever actually seen the fight or are you all going off of little clips?
