Mayweather would do good in the UFC. UFC fighters would be in trouble when Floyd does his sholder roll defense move.
The caps at the UFC would offer my boy Oscar 200mil. before they'd offer it to Floyd. I've went to three DLH fights and each and every time the place was just crawlin' with ultra-hot chics. When your reelin' the pretty girlygirls into a G-damn boxin' match your puttin' money in everyones pocket.
You have got to be kidding if you don't think PBF wouldn't jump at it if the money is right. Hell he made a total fool out of himself to boxing fan by doing the WWE ****. Which is worst then MMA.
I've never been much for the heavyweights, but that undercard fight in memphis 2morrow night, anyone know much about these guys?
I gotta agree with Fitzgeraldz, the UFC caps are laughin' all the way to the bank on those guys. Kinda hard to say the fighters are bein' exploited though when they're only fightin' 4 12-15 min. I not sayin' anyone (other than Ortiz and few other fighters) are screamin' exploitation, but the PPV dividends have been just effin' crazy lately. Ortiz actually has a damn good argument if yu think about it.
If anything, Maywethers tryin' to politic his way into IO with the UFC caps in effort to try and fortify the UFC appeal. Even this theory is a lil' stretched and would still demand one hell of an impression-which I feel would require a coupla sensational impressions in the octagon.
Despite the guys almost supernatural speed and agility, Moneyz gotta worry about what to do when someone like Liddell, Rampage, Ortiz or whothehellever gets ahold of em'. Granted the kidz slippery but I feel he'z just ill prepared for combat like that. I'm notta UFC fan but I give the cats mad props 4 thier scwabbles.
Everyone is treating this as an all-cash deal, when it was stated that it was cash and stock. As I understand it, the UFC isn't yet publicy listed, so the value of any stock depends on the projected valuation of the company, which is educated guesswork. If you value something at $20bn, then 1% is $200m. It might be a wildly over-optimistic valuation, but it can still be quoted. I'd imagine that Floyd's involvement would add more than 1% of value to the UFC proposition, so maybe they are offering him a substantial stake in order to get him on board. The pay could also depend on performance, stock options that vest at a given price, for example. There could be dependencies on dates, profits, fights, viewing figures, all sorts. $200m is not necessarily $200m cash. If this is true then I'd guess that they'd pay him maybe $10m cash, with $190m in stock, a 1.9% stake maybe valuing UFC at $10bn. I'd say that there'd be some dependencies on it as well to do with the performance of both Floyd and the UFC. Is UFC worth $10bn? I doubt it, but until the thing is sold or IPOed, you can say it's worth whatever you like to come up with the figure you want.
Yeah, $200M in cash. I wonder which trunks will Mayweather wear to put the $200M in cash in his pockets...
