Towards the end of the 4th round Floyd had Ortiz backpedaling at a point. Mayweather showed off some serious ability at cutting off the ring at that segment.

Cotto cant beat Mayweather backing up. He's not fast enough to get off first. He has to create a scrum or else he's gonna get tooled.

Wasn't this the same cat who was supposed to be a sparring partner for Pac but turned it down due to him saying that he might be getting out of the sport, he is puerto rican, etc. and now he's gonna spar floyd to " imitate " cotto? LOL Self preservation is one helluva DUCK!

well obviously there is a big connection/bond between blacks and ricans, Henry is probably mostly black himself by the look of it. Besides Ricans like Mayweather and May maybe his idol.

maybe this is why? Henry didn't even know pac.

It wasn't because he didn't know Pac or his bond with blacks etc. The reason why Omar didn't spar with Pac was because he was going to school at the time roach was calling him to spar with pac.

He acknowledges Pac as one of the greatest but unfortunately, school comes first for him. He did say he someday he will spar with one of the greatest and I guess he took this chance to spar with Floyd.

I don't think this is the case.

I think Cotto needs to go with his best assets.

In my opinion, Cotto's best assets are his jab and his mobility.

That's what got him to where he is, so I wouldn't change that.

Initially, Cotto should try and see if Mayweather will be the aggressor, which is a possibility considering that

    A) Mayweather is the bigger man

    B) Mayweather not only was aggressive with Ortiz, but he also managed to knock him out, so this may give him the confidence to do the same against Cotto.

Remember, Mayweather was more aggressive than usual against Mosley too, so it's not just the case that Ortiz is a southpaw.

With all that said, Mayweather's gameplan should be to make Cotto follow him around the ring.

I think Cotto has the speed in his jab, he just may not have the physical ability to utilize it agianst Mayweather.

A larger Cotto would be a better fight. This Cotto just doesn't have the size to deal with Mayweather.

I mean a taller Cotto. A naturally bigger Cotto.
