He said it very well. Cotto has the skills to beat MArgarito. BUT He retreated once. And it's very likely he could retreat again. I will wait until I see Cotto's comeback fight before even thinking about him and Antonio Margarito

This puts to rest that Cotto did in fact quit in that fight.

And that Margarito just won because of his size advantage.

 

I agree that Cotto can still beat Margarito. If he makes some tweaks in his gameplan, I can definitely see Cotto pulling out a decision victory.

 

If he thinks cotto could beat margarito, he's smoking some good weed. He completely dominanted cotto. Took his best shots and kept coming at him.

Mayweather fails to accept the fact that relentless pressure and determination, has broken great boxers. Just cause you're a great boxer doesn't meant your guaranteed a victory over a not so skilled or polished opponent.

I agree margo is far from a cute boxer, but his will and determination make me think that floyd was running for a reason.

 

Chavez was not a unskilled fighter he was very skilled pressure fighter who used good head movement to slip inside punches while moving forward.
Margarito on the other hand will take 3 to try and land 3 or 4 of his own, thats far from the style of Chavez.

Lewis was never much of a boxer as he was a puncher.

I agree with your comment on chavez being better than Margo.
But Im comparing his boxing ability, to the taylors. That is comparable to margo and cotto.

Chavez himself says after the fight i was taking like 4 punches to land 1.

 

Tylor was just fast , he lacked defense and head movement and he would finish allot of combos with his head in the air, Chavez took advantage these mistake and the result was a late stoppage , it was Taylor no quit attitude that allowed him to make it to the 12..

Floyd jr used the same technique against Jab , Floyd knew that Zab hand were faster , so rather then try compete in handspeed he competed in technique were Zab is flawed in his defense and stamina .
