Seems more stable than Vargas and his image is more public friendly. I get the impression Kid can manage the lifestyle so far and it appears his weight does not blow up tween bouts. Time will tell though.

he's so-called greatness is based on him having trained his son. it's his only claim to fame, atleast as a trainer. i can't recall any other world champions he's brought up or trained to a title. i've always thought the main reason he didn't want mayweather anywhere near pac in the ring, wasn't because he feared for his son's health, but rather he was afraid he would lose his perfect record which would effect his legacy should someone be able to beat the style he taught his son.

i mean besides established stars like de la hoya, hatton who signed him as a mercenary trainer, and were already champions. he might have, but right now i can't recall a guy he's brought up or taken to a title, like enzo calzaghe did with maccaranelli and gavin rees.

why? he only had a couple of fights and knowing grape drank sr he was probably missing sessions and coming late to feed his crack habits.

Guzman was at his best with his father and Robert Garcia.

Defensively he was almost like a minature Floyd Jr. tho and he didnt get hit as much then IMO with Floyd Sr and u can say the same about Dawson......Garcia was a good trainer tho...he did look cracked out on the video

floyd sr didn't make joan guzman

guzman was a champion and a defensive wizard way before he met floyd sr, he was only with crackpot sr for 2 fights or so, same with dawson, dan birmingham and iceman john scully trained him from the start.

Diuretics, apparently he has some kind of problems with his skin glands and can't lose weight.
