can the winning trainer of hatton/pacquiao be considered the better trainer? since this is a pretty even match up I think the trainers will play a big role in this fight and the winning trainer should get some credit. who do you think is a better trainer now and can that change with the result of this fight?

    I prefer Roach.

What he has done with Pacquiao speaks for itself, but apart from what they have achieved I find his analysis and cornerwork to be a little more coherent, calm and easier to understand exactly what he wants. Just my personal preference, if I was a boxer I'd like Roach.

I dont know why so many think that roach is a far better trainer. Floyd sr made Floyd Jr and Roach made Pacquiao. both trained many world champions. pretty even, this fight should settle it :deal

Mayweather is better for guys who need pep talks. Roach is better for guys who are experienced and need to follow a gameplan.

    Sr.

Roach showed Pacquiao how to use his already existing abilities better. Sr taught Jr. how to box. End of discussion.

They are both great trainers......It depends on the fighters they train, no matter how good they are but their fighters lack discipline, then its still useless..

I think this fight could be won and lost with the trainers. Both are talented fighters. It's a question of strategy and executing the right approach.

I've got no time for Freddie Roach.

All he does now that he has Manny Pacquiao is talk **** in the press, and it's not as if he has been doing it since day one, it's as a result of his new fame.

When he claimed Marco Antonio Barrera tried to load his gloves in the Pacquiao fight I lost all respect for him. Piece of ****.

I don't think a fight could settle who's the best trainer.
    Fight settle the best fighter.
A trainer may be more suited for a specific fighter than another trainer (no matter who's the best).
