    This exchange is from a recent media dinner that they both attended

    Floyd Mayweather Sr: We are talking about Ricky and Manny. My man is all those good things we were talking about. And then you went over to Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach.

    Freddie Roach: Please change that. Get a new line. That one's old.

    Floyd Mayweather Sr: It's old Freddie but it's got to be used because you is a Roach. You is a Joke Roach.

    Freddie Roach: You were the greatest. Just shut up.

    Floyd Mayweather Sr: Freddie, don't get upset. We are all just here talking. I know I get up under your skin, don't worry about it.

    Freddie Roach: Can I borrow some of your rings? [taking a crack at the numerous rings on Mayweather’s hands.]

    Floyd Mayweather Sr: You can buy them. Sure you can.

    Freddie Roach: I can't afford them.

    Floyd Mayweather Sr: You can't afford them? We both a lot of money. Is that what your are trying to say. Its like the stupid thing you said before. You are in the hall of fame. No you belong in the hall of shame.

    Freddie Roach: I'm in the hall of fame. Are you?

    Floyd Mayweather Sr: I have to stand up when I hear a guy like you is in the hall of fame. You have to be joking me. Everybody knows that your are a joke. You know that you don’t belong in the hall of fame. You know the old guy that died, Eddie Futch. I'm saying that because you didn’t get in the hall of fame yourself.

    Freddie Roach: What aren’t you [in there]?

    Floyd Mayweather Sr: You didn’t get in the hall of fame yourself. You don’t know nothing. We all know that you're punch drunk anyway.

    Freddie Roach: And you're not? And you're not?

    yeah tahts one was a bit much. The whole conversation was childish. I like Floyd Sr. but you have to take the good with the bad with the guy.

    hmm says.... at least Roach wasn't a crackhead, didn't do time in prison, and not having illegitimate children running around. (low blow)...

    I don't think Mayweather should be considered an ATG/ Hall of trainer or whatever.... Roach puts it best. "what has he accomplished as a trainer? What great champions did he produce..." This man asked $2 mil to train DLH against his son. $2 mil!!!! a lot of trainers won't even demand that much.

    thats just dumb. Floyd sr created floyd jr. and trained a number of world class fight such as Dawson, Delahoya, Guzman, Hatton and others. what has Roach done thats so great other than develop pacquiao?

    Oscar went back to Floyd sr. after working with Roach. Wlad left Roach for Emanuel stewart. Hopkins left Roach for Naseem Richardson and schooled pavlik when Roach was saying that hopkins is too old and he's worried that Pavlik might seriously hurt Hopkins. :patsch

    Other than manny pacquiao what other fighters have kept roach as their trainer for more than 2 fights? Rey bautista? please. roach = overrated. and Mayweather sr > the Roach

    The guy in your avatar did the Lion's share of training Floyd, if you're giving Snr credit for that then Mrs Mayweather as Floyd's mum should be in there too...

    There's a video of it somewhere. It's funny because of how long it takes Floyd Sr to get his point across.

    He also calls Eddie Futch, "Eddie Flutch" and it took him like a half a minute to remember who Futch was.

    Usually it's the fighters doing the trash-talking, Roach-Mayweather, will end up coming to blows on or before May 2 if things don't cool down,, these guy's really despise each other..
