Mayweather Sr wants to help Diaz

If Diaz had not already fought & busted Penn up on the feet you would not have felt the need to add `when cardio isn`t a problem` onto Penn`s name.... & I`m quite sure you would have flung Paul Daley`s name in there as well no doubt.

Ps. GSP will not be passing Diaz guard & if he does then he won`t have time to inflict any damage before he`s right back in it again, believe that ****

 

Nick diaz is a terrible terrible boxer.... If he went in a gym in Manchester not only would they not have a clue who he is but they'd laugh..... That bein said.... E is an ard ****

 

What Sr teaches is of no real benefit to Diaz. I think Diaz needs to work on the fundamentals more and Sr showed that with Hatton he doesn't do that. He gets straight on the pads and starts with the fancy ****. Thats great for fast, agile, explosive guys with good reflexes but as shown with Hatton, its useless. Hatton needed technique not fancy moves. Diaz needs the same thing.

 

His stand-up is fine, his iron chin and awkward offence are more than adequate and make him an intimidating force. By textbook boxing standards he's shocking, but what he does is very effective, damaging and dangerous.

He needs to work on his TDD big time in the run-in to the title shot. I think he will be dangerous enough on the ground to make GSP wary of trying to maintain top control. If he can stay up, he'll walk through GSPs offence and batter him.

Nick showed decent TDD against Sherk, problem is that he was so worried about the TD that he got busted up a bit. I fear the same thing happening against GSP. If Diaz gets super prepared for the TD it will be all he is looking for and he will get picked apart. I want to see him beat the **** out of GSP, but that is a tall order for him.

Diaz is the Tebow of MMA, he finds a way. I've always wondered if he's just used that style so much against a wide variety of opponents in training and competition that he's tweaked it to his success. I would say it's his chin but Jeremy Jackson KO'd him so he can be knocked out. But yeah, I could see him and Floyd Sr. clashing though.

 

Diaz boxing is sloppy but he is the most confident in MMA. He isn't scared. Even Daley went for a single leg when Diaz was busting him up. Diaz has the balls to stand there and fire off combos and body shots. Most MMA don't have that confidence, even if they can hit the pads better and harder than Diaz.

 

You hit it on the head with your mention of body shots. That confidence is what separates him from others. MMA fighters either have too much confidence in their ability and get knocked out, or not enough and get wrestle ****ed against a cage as they are unwilling to trust themselves.
