I'm not gonna lie. I'm a BIG Floyd Mayweather fan but he's really disappointing me lately. Seriously.. Who the hell want's to see him fight with Delahoya again? And on PPV to boot! Then I hear Hatton is saying he's gonna rematch Mayweather after his next 2 fights? Ahhhhh it gets worse and worse. It's getting harder and harder to defend him as a fan of his. He should fight Miguel Cotto plain and simple. And to be honest I love both of them and I'm fans of both guys but I think Mayweather beats him and can possibly KO him but how are we gonna know if he refuses to fight him and fights old ass Delahoya again and limited ass Ricky Fatton?? Don't get me wrong.. I give Mayweather his props for going up to 154 to fight Delahoya and beat him but there's no need for a rematch it doesn't do nothing for his legacy or boxing fans. It only does something for his pocket and that's what it's all about now for him. And Ricky Fatton? Cmon he got knocked the **** out who the hell wants to see that fight again? If Mayweather fights Delahoya and Hatton and doesn't fight Cotto I will officially be a Mayweather Hater! Come on Mayweather.. Fight Cotto that's the fight the fans want to see!!! :happy

Mayweather choosing a DLH rematch is very dissapointing.

However, I don't understand why people act like the fight with Cotto would've happened if Mayweather DID want the Cotto fight more than anything else.

With Cotto's team preferring a DLH match, Arum being on better terms with GBP than Mayweather, the DLH fight being bigger money and more exposure, and DLH and Schaefer saying they would've negotiated with Cotto if negotiations with PBF fell through......do you actually think Mayweather-Cotto would have happened?

Not at all likely. It would've been DLH-Cotto.

Which while better than Mayweather-DLH 2, is not as good as Mayweather-Cotto.

Nah not at all, If i did a poll i bet the majority of people would rather see Mayweather vs Cotto then Mayweather vs Delahoya II :)

    You don't count

He was referring to real boxing fans who actually want to see the best possible fights made and don't care about how much money their favorite fighter makes.

:good I have a feeling we'll see it in 2009 though (or at least I hope so). It would be a true superfight that would cement the winner's legacy.

    Same...

I think it's more likely that Cotto loses to Margarito or Cintron than Mayweather losing to De La Hoya or Hatton.

Mayrunner has a long pattern of not fighting fighters that could beat him turning down all top ten WelterWeight to fight guys like Philip N’Dou and Henry Bruseles (but claims it's about money) fighting old guys like Baldamir Sharmba Mitchell and Gatti-his resume is really thin when you get down to it.

DLH know he is very average now, why else take a fight with Forbes!?

Forbes is a guy that was beaten by a 38 year unranked fighter just two fights ago!
