I did not say it was at that time just using the example that he fights 2nd tier fighters (hell just check his resume) And here is and article from 2006 saying he needs to fights a top WW or risk losing all-time credibility-and guess what he still has not! Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Is He More All-Time Fraud than All-Time Great? http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=7852&more=1
atsch ..you said he turned down the top 10 ww's to fight those guys that were at 135 amd 140..how can he do that..and in 06 he fought the #3 ranked IBF champ judah and the #1 WW baldomir
you guys ***** and moan like he hasnt made it clear he's semi-retired now. He said he'll fight occasionally, and this, despite COtto having a full schedule for the year, you guys still get your panties up in a bunch. The fight will happen in 09. In the meantime, here's a reality check. 130- Champion- Hernandez- KO #1 fighter- Corrales- KO 135- Champion- Castillo- UD, UD 140- Champion- Hatton- KO #1- Gatti- KO 147- Last 2 Champions- Baldomir- UD Judah- UD 154- Best fighter- DLH- UD yeah..what a bunch of handpicked bums...
Everytime these morons say things about Floyd like if he's a fraud and try to down play his resume saying he ducked the best fighters just makes them look really stupid. They say look at his resume, it'll tell the story. I say exactly look at it dickhead
Its just childish...grow up people. Everyone wants to downplay every win, without looking at the context of the win. Hernandez was the ****ing linear/wbc champion, recognized as undisputed, and floyd DOMINATED him in his SECOND year as a pro. Corrales was a top ten p4p undefeated powerhouse, and Floyd DOMINATED him. He suffered an injury, but showed toughness in winning a close one against Castillo in his FIRST fight at lightweight, and then gave him an IMMEDIATE rematch. Gatt was #1 at 140, under the champ tszyu, tszyu's people chose hatton (over tszyu, who wanted to fight mayweather), and he lost, and then Floyd DOMINATED Hatton. At 147, he signed to fight undisputed champ, he lost to Baldo, so what did he do? he best BOTH of them. And then fought and beat DLH in his FIFTH weight class, and I remember when Floyd was at 135, and people thought he was ridiculous for calling out DLH Am I saying Floyd is the greatest fighter ever? No, im not, I have a better sense of history of the sport, but goddamn, recognize greatness when you see it, and appreciate it.
