Mayweather stood and traded with Cotto but not Pac?

    I find that very interesting

Mayweather in the cotto fight traded much more and was ok to sit in the pocket but for Pac he never dared to try this.

That speaks volumes really how hard Pac hits and how destructive he could be.

Yea because Mayweather stood and traded with him which gave cotto more chances

Anyone else notice the few time Mayweather tried to throw when Pac threw that's when he got hurt?

Pacquiao was a higer volume puncher than Cotto, not to mention an unorthodox fighter whilst cotto is more textbook.

Cotto hits harder than Pacquiao, but with Manny you dont see the punches coming because theyre coming from bizarre angles.

It was a very interesting fight to watch because both guys have been the biggest PPV stars for the past 10 years so it was weird to see both of them fight so tentatively for pretty much the entire fight.

Both guys seemed nervous in there and it looked like neither guy wanted to make the first mistake. That probably was one of the major reasons the fight didn't live up to its expectations.

I thought Floyd clearly won, but his performance IMO was just above average. I was very impressed with his defense and even more impressed with his footwork and how crisp it was. But offensively, he could've done a lot more but I guess due to the magnitude of the event, he played it a bit more safely than he usually does.

No surprise really. I called it months before the fight happened that it would be a failure.

The fight with two declined fighters could never live up to expectations.

I see it from a different perspective. Usually when you have 2 great fighters that are in the declining stage of their careers, that tends to make for a more action packed fight.

As fighters get older, they get a little slower, their reflexes are just a nanosecond too slow and their overall speed declines. With both guys past their primes, I thought there was going to be a lot more exchanges taking place.

Anyway, I'd rather not see a rematch between those 2 guys. Floyd already figured out how to get proper distance against Manny and how to control his offensive aggression. I'd expect an even more one-sided win in a rematch.

I also wouldn't mind it if both guys just retired at this point. Neither guy has anything to prove at this stage.

He made a ****** out of PAC. He demonstrated Pac's below average boxing ability and low boxing IQ.

This sums it up pretty good

As for the TS did it occur to you that it wasn't a power difference in Manny and Cotto that lead to more or less trading but speed?

Manny is a much faster fighter who made Floyd constantly move. Vs Cotto he could see everything coming and could afford to mix it up

Plus Cotto was much more aggressive

Cotto had an educated jab and could cut off the ring. Pac has neither in his tool box.

Further proof that the thread starter is a clueless mental loser, no wonder he's on the ignore list. Cotto forced Mayweather to exchange. It was clear and obvious that he will based on his style.

Sr. wasn't in Jr.'s corner for the Cotto fight and was critical of his son's defensive performance.

Since that fight, Jr. has had Sr. in his corner and has made it a point to be even more defensively conscious.
