Mayweather takes the place of Whitaker against Hoya

Mayweather would land the same amount of punches he did in his real fight with De La Hoya, Pernell aged and slowed a lot worse than Mayweather did, Floyd said he beat Whitaker when he was 17 in a few sparring sessions around about this stage of Whitaker`s career, Pea`s best performance at welter was vs Chavez but he got hit a lot more at welter overall the he did at lightweight, Mayweather got hit a lot less than Whitaker overall adding up stats type info at welter.

 

Delahoya by close but uncontroversial decision.

 

Mayweather would win. He'd only have to do a little bit better than Whitaker and Quartey or not better than Tito and Shane.

This is a prime Oscar. An argument can be made he won their fight past his best, with Mayweather in his prime. Oscar ,if he can use the Jab the entire night keeps Mayweather at the perfect range. Had he stayed with the jab in the actual fight he would have won it on all cards.

 

Come on man, there's no way in hell Oscar won that fight. That being said, a prime Oscar would by no means be an easy fight for Floyd like a couple on this thread have said, but i still favour him probably by a 7-5 7-4-1 type decision.

 

Whitaker almost beat that Oscar. And Whitaker was clearly on the downside.

That Oscar was just getting used to 147 lbs. I don't think that was prime 147 lb Oscar that fought Whitaker.

Actually that does not make sense.floyd beat past prime Oscar by that margin.

 

33 y/o Mayweather was a full fledged welter who sat on his punches. He was fine at that age.
