"The media didn't make me. I'm where I'm at right now because of my hard work and dedication. The media can help you or they can hurt you, but they didn't make me. My mother and father made me, but the media can help you or they can hurt you. Sometimes you hear when they say, 'all press is good press,' but the thing is this,

haha floyd fans always use his expressions, it cracks me up:D
But yeah is definitely relevant because he is a big boxing figure at the moment the problem is that he isnt fighting.

Yea but is he in the media all the time because he's relevant, or is he relevant because he's in the media all the time? It's certainly not because he's performing at the top level of his sport.

Indeed, but you still devote 60% of your posts to him specifically...no disrespect just saying.

Unsurprisingly, Floyd is talking complete ****ing dog**** yet again.

His 'hard work and dedication' got him on to HBO, where his repeated boring performances had the viewers turning off in droves.

It was only when he used the media to reinvent himself as a fake gangstah with a bad attit-ood did he start to make cash and become a big name.

He whored himself out on Dancing With The Stars and WWE - the media made him, and he knows it. It was his idea!!

Probably longer than you've been alive. I remember how Floyd was collectively perceived after the Baldomir fight, I saw his media antics over the next few years, and I am aware of his ppv drawing power and the money he's made from that up to this point.

    Wake up.

Of course Floyd's relevant, he's the p4p#2 fighter in the world and everybody wants to see him fight Pacquiao. But why the need to reassure himself that he's still relevant for the sport? I hope the media is not really getting to him.

I think that in reality he just likes to fight when he feels like it and doesn't let anything or anyone dictate to him who, when or where! Some people would find that commendable!
