According to one reliable site the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight might be off due to Mayweather having issues with weight. Please remember this fight has been discussed to be at Welterweight, NOT a catchweight or any of that but anything from 141-147 as the welterweight limit is. What I find strange is that even though this fight might be off due to weight they still mentioned possible fights with Mathew Hatton or the winner of Mosley-Berto at welterweight. If this is off because Mayweather doesn't make it then I wouldn't be defending NOTHING there, this move just confirms immediately that Mayweather doesn't give a damn about legacy and just wants to make some good quick safe $ before retiring again and this will also confirm 110% that Pacman IS the fighter of this generation.

I'll always be a fan of Mayweather, just like I am of Tyson despite the disaster in the rematch with Holyfield but won't spend a single SECOND defending this if it didn't happen, in the end Pacquiao wanted it to happen and Mayweather didn't, that's what everyone will remember and mention FOREVER and will plague him for the rest of his life, no sane fan of boxing or sports in general will accept being robbed off the biggest fight of this generation and will always bring it up, history will be VERY harsh on Mayweather if this is off. Fighting and losing to Pacquiao WON'T harm his legacy at all if at least he made the fight but fell short in the ring. I don't now if weight will be an issue or whatever and I know how damaging it is to make weight your body can't handle but why mention possible fights with M.Hatton or Mosley/Berto winner at Welterweight then?. The Marquez fight, as all know, was also at welterweight and he performed too good. I know people will say "Oh it was Marquez" or "Marquez was too small", all that goes out the window when all know that Marquez is an A class fighter. An A class fighter, regardless of weight issues, can fight through it with A class skills. Marquez is not a scrub to be outperformed like that by someone who can't make the weight, if Mayweather struggled Marquez would have smashed his face in and SHOWED him he struggled.

I just hope this is a rumor and nothing official, a simple google search "Mayweather threatens to pull out of Pacquiao fight" should direct people to links or "the" link.

I highly doubt even Mayweather would pull out of the fight mentioning weight problems then fight someone else at welter. I don't see it. Probably trying to stirr **** up.

I always said that too and ignored certain topics about how it's rumored to be off, money issues or whatever but trust me this one looks a bit too serious for me to ignore.

Floyd has absolutely no reason to suggest the weight be above 147. Lets hope common sense prevails.

He already secured a belt @ 154. Would be pointless let alone not a very sellable fight.

**** it then. Bring on the Punisher at 154.

Or maybe he can fight Kelly Pavlik at 160.
