Fair enough. But it was nothing more then bull**** from Floyd. Do you honestly believe he would drop JMM as an opponent when the fight could occur AFTER? Floyd says a lot of stupid ****. Grain of salt.
He's got his reason to FEAR PAC, he doesn't wanna look like DIAZ, DLH, HATTON and COTTO. Every night he's having a NIGHTMARE, can you blame him? It started with OLYMPIC DRUG testing, then now WEIGHT issue. His hiding his FEAR by TRASH TALKING PACQUIAO. RUN FLOYD...RUN! :hat
I agree that Team Pac is not going to allow any wriggle room in weight. Besides, if he shows up above 147, it ain't a WW fight anymore and there's no belt on the line then. It doesn't make sense, if the glove don't fit... On the other hand, if he's posturing to setup an exit out of the fight... who knows?
I wont believe this rumor until it comes straight from the horses mouth..Too much at stake as far as legacy and money for either participants to back away. Unfortunately, as expected, people who don't like Floyd will run with the rumor as if its a fact. Such pathetic people they are
You mean unlike the people screaming Pac was running from Mayweather when the news broke that Arum went to the Philipines with an offer?
Are you even reading the posts? No one thinks it holds water. But people ARE discussing 'what ifs'. Nothing wrong with that. If people talking about Floyd bothers you so greatly, maybe you too need a new forum.
Well we will have to agree that there are idiots on both ends of the spectrum Neither fighter is scared of one another. To think so would be foolish
Well I like to deal in reality and not "what ifs"..Until we get a factual statement from the man himself there is no need speculate on "what ifs'" Floyd and Pacquiao will fight in 2010..Write that down as a fact
pac is trying to sneak in a rehydration clause..they don't want floyd to gain more than 1 pound after the weighin. floyd is like go **** yourselves and all you haters know that iss what's going on..
So you've NEVER made a hypothetical "what if" pick? :huh But I agree. I see this fight as being to big to not get finalized.
Floyd needa take the fight at 147...this fight needs to play out as the true boxing fans want it too...I know that your "casual" fan would still buy the fight regardless...But fans that pay attention and follow the sport wanna see it done perfect...like the way SRL and Tommy Hearns made it happen...147 FOR ALL THE DAMN FAME AND GLORY ETC ETC...Than the winner can go on and fight as he chooses or retire! This gotta be a bluff...
The problem here as one journalist puts it is the Mayweathers bluff of PAcquaio to a fight on March 13 is backfiring, betting on Pac may think its too soon. Now problem is PAc agreed and this is now a mess. And it only makes sense that even after Pacquiao signed on to fight Mayweather that his father and former trainer and constant Pacquiao detractor Floyd Sr. would say he didn't really think Pacquiao wanted to fight his son, because they really wanted to put Pacquiao in that position. Well, too bad. Pacquiao really wants to "whup" his son so bad and now they are scrambling to concoct another contingency plan since what they expected didn't work. Floyd wanted to put the gun on Pacquiao making things inconvenient for the Filipino to say yes to fight him in March, so in my opinion he could come back and say "Well, I already agreed to fight him, he's the one who backed out so I'm fighting in Europe against Ricky Hatton's brother," and "I told you Pacquiao is afraid to fight me," or something along those lines. Too bad that script just went out the door. So now what, Floyd? In the most recent article by Nick Giongco of Fightnews.com, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum said, I am very disillusioned, talking about Golden Boy CEO Richard Shaeffer who is representing Mayweather pulling out of a scheduled meeting to iron out details on the fight. Further, Arum who was such in a positive and upbeat mood after coming back to the US from the Philippines with Pacquiao's go signal to fight Mayweather in March, said, I think Richard (Schaefer) has an agenda, and added in a more somber mood, Well see, well see...
