On the scene. "Says after Cotto he will probably fight 5 more times and hang them up." "Of course, I am not looking to face 5 strong champions." Floyd Mayweather.

Was thinking he would probably try and go for the 50-0

Might be a bit too far though

You don't really know. First of all he is old, then he has one legal issue after another.
For all i know he could fight into his 40´s because he can or because he runs out of money.

I think he'll fight maybe once or twice more maximum after Cotto and call it a day.

Canelo and Khan (if he doesn't lose too many fights), will definitely be his next victims after Cotto.

"Not looking to face 5 strong champions" simply means he'll just be looking to cash out against decent up-and-comers with a strong following. So, in addition to Khan and Canelo, maybe they'll be Berto (if he beats Ortiz), Alexander (if he has a decent run), and who knows, maybe even a Kell Brook if he's a champion in 18 months time.

Martinez, if he has any intentions of fighting him, will be at the very end of his list. Dude is 38 or something years old, and Floyd will want to fight him when he begins slipping and getting down to that 154 will have become increasingly difficult to do.

He would have to manage it well if he is serious. I personally think he will lose if he fights that long.

I think its more likely to be along the lines of:

    Alvarez
    Guerrero
    Khan
    Berto
    Kirkland

obviously depending on if these fighters keep winning or not. Martinez wont wait that long for a payday, He will be forced to move up sooner or later in order to make a big purse and I don't think he'll hang on for five fights to wait for Pacquaio/Mayweather.

The Pacquaio fight won't happen unless Pacquaio really starts to go down hill and they cash in.

Trout and Lara are to dangerous for unknown guys who are bigger than him.

    IMO anyway.

I'm suprised that he would be willing to fight 5 more times....

At his current rate that could take him up to 40 years old.

I'm also suprised he has revealed how many times he will fight as that will mean there is even a bigger target on his back.

I think he is being a bit sarcastic with the "Of course, I'm not looking to face 5 strong champions."

    Not happening.

He'll probably whoop Khan and Canelo then call it a day. Maybe he would make a good commentator :think
