He might be old in boxing age but he most certainly is fresh. I mean, how much damage has he taken? He takes great care of his health and is always in top shape. Add to the fact that he is more skilled than all the boxers in and around his weight division, as strong and quicker than them still, he can go on for another 2-3 years no problem. Obviously this depends on him taking any significant damage, which has not happened, ever...

People underestimate the toll training takes on Mayweather mentally. He broke down crying after the Ortiz fight talking about his camp. So even though he says five more, after this camp who knows how he'll feel.

I think what he meant is don't expect all 5 to be a Martinez. Boxers do big fights in intervals in order to make additional money with the easier fights in between as explained by Sugar Ray Leonard.

 

same here I don't see him fighting anymore than 3 more fights. he would be satisfied enough to retire after beating a Martinez. We seen him be happy to ride off into the sunset after getting Oscar.
