He should take Martinez in may.
Why has this not been suggested more? It makes a lot of sense:deal:

    1. It's a legacy fight for both fighters (Lineal and The Ring middleweight title, beat a legend, p4p #1)
    2. Sergios last performance was poor.
    3. Floyd would not catch any heat for choice of opponent and therefore a loss would not be as huge a deal.

I think the public would overestimate Sergios chances in this fight. At this point this is as close to as good a legacy win as Pacquiao for Floyd if he pulls it off. All the MWs should want Martinez after how he looked vs Murray. To me, he lost that fight.

I am leaning towards Garcia. He has been getting a ton of publicity as of late. After beating Canelo I don't think it matters who Floyd fights now business wise. The casuals are starting to really admire him and they know they only have two more years to see him.

I find it funny that people behind a keyboard are calling a professional prizefighter a chicken.

And I find it funnier that people think a fight between Pac and Mayweather is so "easy" to make, forgetting the fact that Top Rank and Goldenboy haven't done business together in several years and both of these P4P fighters are on different television networks.

Simple question- when was the last time Floyd fought a Top Rank fighter? I don't think he's scared of anyone from that stable at all, rather he just doesn't want to do business with BOb Arum. It's been that way for many years. Marquez and Cotto only got their shots against Floyd because neither one of them were signed to Top Rank at that current juncture.

There's a lot of obstacles that need to be overcome before these 2 fighters can get it on. To think Floyd is actually scared of a guy he'd probably have his way with is just ridiculous. People were saying the same thing about FLoyd avoiding Canelo after he beat Trout.

Enough already, the guy is the P4P #1 boxer in the sport and has been fighting for over 15 years. To be honest I'd much rather see him fight Sergio Martinez who i believe would be a much tougher fight for FLoyd as Sergio is the more powerful man and has better natural boxing skills than Pacman. And it could really add to Floyd's legacy if he could pick up the lineal championship at MW. Seems to me that's the fight to make especially knowing Sergio is signed with Dibella and not Arum.

I am a Floyd fan and I think a fight with Khan is a joke.
Having said that I doubt he will fight Khan.
Just because Khan is sitting on his hands hoping to land the big fight does not mean he will!!!!
