you can tell he's slowed down quite a bit. He used to do this **** blindingly fast. But that's just what happens with age.
I don't understand his pad work...Roger is the one doing all the throwing...Floyd doesn't even throw punches he just waits until Roger hits his gloves with the pads.
yea, but honestly, it's the real workout too. that's how they always work out. Of course, I'm not there when it's not open workout, but Floyd was going nonstop and looked dead tired after it was all done. As far as I can tell, it's a real workout, not just for the media. The media left half way through his workout, I stayed for the whole thing. I don't understand that whole pad thing where roger does half the work, but it works for them...
nah , he's slowed down . I could see it in the Mosley fight too . You cant escape age. He's still fast though . Pac has slowed down a bit too.
I think the padwork is supposed to be for his hand eye co-ordination - and improving his accuracy, and his ability to hit from any angle without the need to set himself up for it.
They said it was more for conditioning and keeping Floyd sharp. They do it for the camera I guess also but do the real pad work when the cameras aren't there. Also I think some of it is chroegraphed and some of it is reactive. Like he'll dothe chroegraphed stuff and then mix in shots that he has to slip that isn't apart of the rythem. This video is probably the best exmaple [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44xjuFRwpMM[/ame]
This early in the camp, looks to be right on track for yet another dominant showing against Ortiz. Tell me of any other fighters who show as impeccable timing on the mitts the third day in camp, and I'll tip my hat off to them.
I found this on the forum. It's the right address, don't know if it's the right number but it probably is
